14–year-old Michael Six of Mesa, Arizona foiled a would-be burglar in his Mesa home by whacking him twice with a baseball bat.
The ninth-grader heard his home being broken into, locked himself in his room and called 911.
When the burglar broke into his room and confronted him, Michael grabbed a baseball bat and smacked the low life in the lower back and shoulder. The big guy bailed out into the waiting arms of the Mesa Police department.
Police believe Thomas Gonzales Garza, 30, may be connected to other burglaries in the area. He is being held without bond on charges of suspicion of residential burglary, aggravated assault on a minor, criminal trespassing and criminal damage.
Nice work Michael!!

Yeah, I heard about this on the radio (about an hour ago), I was like way to go kid.
It always makes me happy when a criminal gets smacked around by a “victim.” The would be burglar probably learned more from that 14 year old with a bat that he will from the jail time.
Absolutely fantastic. Way to go Michael. I also like the way you describe the situation, particularly the term “low life”. Quite apt. Nice post.
Now that makes me smile. Serves the thief right. Lucky thing he had the bat!
