2007 Blogolutions

by Jay - The Phoenix Real Estate Guy on January 2, 2007

New Years resolutions always seemed kinda silly to me…. why wait for some arbitrary date to do something? Just do it!

But, I suppose they serve some purpose. If nothing else, you can “publicize” your resolution(s) which could prove motivational.

There’s a few things I want to do with this blog over the next year. So here you have my “Blogolutions” for 2007:

  • Provide more local content (local being the Phoenix area). There are a couple o’ blogs that provide stats that are far more detailed than I’ll probably ever do. So I’m not going to try to compete with the John’s that provide these stellar stats. I’m talking more local content ala neighborhood info and news.
  • Post more frequently. I’ve done a LOT better since roughly August, but there’s certainly room for improvement. I will NOT post with the frequency of our uptown pals at Bloodhound, but I’ll *try* to post every day. Or at least cut out the occasional 3 - 4 day gaps that sometimes occur here.
  • Keep my blogroll updated. I stink at this. Anything will be an improvement. There are currently 34 blogs in the blogroll, and 60+ in my reader…

There you have it. Earthshattering isn’t it? But I think if I can just do these three things, it’ll make this a better blog for you, the avid reader.

And speaking of our avid readers, here’s wishing you, your friends and families a most outstanding 2007.

I am going to try to keep my blogroll pretty small this year to only those sites I actually read a lot. I am transfering my stuff over to a new site so it’s the perfect time for me to do it.

It’s gonna be more linking to blogs in my articles and less clutter for me this year.

I’d not move to a smaller blogroll. The blogroll is your online “sphere of influence” pretty much. If nothing else have two blogrolls “your favorite blogs” and “yet more blogs”. Link everyone.
