My 13 & 15 year old daughters think I work WAY too much and don't think real estate is cool at all. Seeing me go out on evening appts., weekends, etc has really turned them off. Although, the 13 year old is angling for a job in my office, but only 'cause she needs money for the mall and thinks it'll be easy working for me. Little does she know that I'm tough! Anyway, cute post. You got me thinking about a post I should do...hhmmmmm, thanks for the inspiration!

I just had an idea. I am going to do a post called "A Realtor's Job from the Eyes of A 40 Something Realtor." OK, maybe not.

I like your interview with the kids!

Jay,
My daughter, Audrey, 15 as you know, knows my sign-on and password the Cape Cod & Islands MLS. She claims she will NEVER be a Realtor! Waaaayyyy tooo much work.
She, and Ben, however, are great assistants and have been on more than one home inspection. They're very particular about hedge trimming now.

Did that get sent inadvertantly. If so, my apologies.

Audrey asked me today about foreclosures, short sales, etc.

I'm thinkin' she's HOOKED!

Thank for the link, Jay.

I loved the teenagers veiw of your work, made me think about how I will talk about the real estate world in front of my 4 & 7 year old. I already had to ask my 7 year old to stop asking my friends if they want to sell their house, "my mommy will sell your house" she is my mommy and she sells houses thats what mommys do!
She was suprised to find out that not all mommys sell houses.
