I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy runs on AgentPress

AgentPress is a specialized WordPress theme for real estate agents and brokers, powered by the industry standard Genesis Framework. With AgentPress on your team, you're empowered to get the most out of WordPress for online marketing.

Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that powers any successful website. And AgentPress provides the specific listing and lead-generation functionality real estate pros need to succeed.

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

After growing up in the Bay Area, I lived in NYC for a couple years, and I loved it. Absolutely loved it. During my time there I traveled up and down the east coast, and it was amazing. I particularly liked how the seasons changed, just beautiful. Nothing beats the first day of Spring in NYC.

Why did I move back? Among other reasons (cost of living, not being close enough to family, etc), it was just too damn cold. If I need snow, Tahoe is a 4 hour drive away :)

Well, I've had enough of the cold where I am (and it's not really bad)...but I think I'd actually rather have the heat, than the cold.

I feel bad for anyone on the east coast this week. My friend from Virginia had to shovel his driveway for hours before he was able to even see the pavement, let alone move the car.

I hate the snow and cold weather as well. I would just stay back here in Austin. Thanks.

Heck Jacci, I'd rather be in Austin! Lived there 20 years, it's home to me...

I've been here for 35 years and spent the last 15 as a Realtor. I love every bit of it.

Let's see.... My wife in a cute winter garb playing in the snow with my kids and skipping out from the office tomorrow - OR dude with handlebar 'stash, sporting a tat. HMMMMM :)

I LOVE snow. It takes me back to my childhood. (actually childhood sucked, so I get to remake my childhood with the joy of my kids playing in the snow)

However, I will take your advice and be safe :)

Hopefully the choice between your wife in cute winter garb and me is EASY!

Do be safe!

You completely miss the entire point of snow. The point is the pure sexiness of a man shoveling snow. The shoveling itself is heavy exercise, and repeative. There's a kind of zen to shoveling as your mind relaxes and your body works. You don't just shovel snow, you become the shovel.

After shoveling a good sized driveway off, you return to the house, not cold from the outside, but actually quite pleasantly warm from working the shovel in your layers of clothing. The battle against mother nature most assuredly won for another day. You return as hero. Wet with sweat, muscles engorged, and into the arms of your adoring woman who cannot help but respond to such a man.

Nice to see you again Athol! Hope you are doing well. Several have tried, but come nowhere close to duplicating, your old "Bad MLS pic of the day" posts...

If and when I move will ya put me up until I get settled?

Just kidding..

Jim

Uh no. Not kidding. ;)

Actually Jim, you'd be welcome!

Jay, I'm with ya buddy!

An old friend of mine moved to the D.C area and was c0mplaining about the snow, I sent her a picture message of the 72 degree on my rear view mirror. I got the same reply Cooper gave you LOL!!

Gotta love Phoenix!

Nice offer Jay, but I'd rather sit by a nice fire and watch the snowfall....not a fan of 120 degree weather!

I'll ski on snow, but have zero desire to shovel it, or drive in it. And trust me, you have zero desire to be on the road if I'm driving in it.... ;)

Smartass.

I'll take our rare blizzard over a 140 degree "dry" heat any day of the week.

Besides, the interstate is much more fun to drive when everyone else is elsewhere.

Great pics Jim! Almost surreal....

And yeah, give it a few months and we'll be whining about the heat.

Now considering a Florida tat.
