The Arizona Mortgage Guru is on a ROLL with back-to-back home runs.

Shailesh penned an excellent post about What Makes up the FICO Score, complete with cool exploding pie chart.

The he follows that with some fantabulous info and resources on first time home buyer assistance programs

Jeepers, if he keeps this up I won't have to write anymore. I can just sit back and link to him.

Thanks for sharing Shailesh!!

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Good points. I just want to add that if you want to get approved to mortgage or any kind of loan, credit history is as important as credit score if not more important. Because you might have a high credit score but not an established credit history. It happened to me before, I never had a late payment or whatsoever and therefore my credit score was 750. but I've been declined for the lowest rate for a car loan, because I did not have any loan before, therefore not a history. So if you want to apply for a loan in a new future try to establish credit as well.

My recent post Hi- I’m calling about your listing at… insert random address here

The FICO score just may be the best kept secret yet. Heck, even the colonels chicken and coca cola have had some pretty good copy cats, but not FICO. The only weapon we have to use against them is the FCRA - Fair Credit Reporting Act and use every loophole, tactic, and trick in the book to get stuff off our credit reports, whether the items are legitimate or not. Dispute, dispute, dispute, but with care using laser targeted reasons. We teach you this at http://www.AttractiveCreditSecrets.com Whether it's adding positive credit or disputing negative items. We got it covered. Free ebook for checking us out.

Jay,

Thanks for the links. I've just been talking to a lot of first time buyers for some reason and they ask very similar questions.

Thanks,

Shailesh
