The newest real estate brokerage in the Phoenix area, Thompson’s Realty, is officially open for business!

Our business model is simple: provide superior customer service in everything we do. That may sound hokey, but it is what Francy and I believe in. Our clients will experience unparalleled support and guidance throughout their real estate transaction. And beyond.

Leveraging the power of technology, combined with the cost savings associated with running a boutique brokerage unencumbered with the overhead of a large franchise, we will enable our clients to actually enjoy buying or selling real estate.

A virtual office, near-paperless transactions (as close as the state currently allows), and streamlined efficiency will allow us to pass savings directly to our clients. Uncompromised service is the rule, there are no exceptions.

If you are an experienced, tech savvy real estate agent interested in working for a progressive independent brokerage, please contact us. We are looking for a few amazing agents willing to work hard to make the future of real estate happen today.

Congratulations Jay - here’s wishing you the best success!

3 The Phoenix Real Estate Guy February 27, 2008 at 1:38 pm

Thanks Matt and Morgan! Breaking away from the Century 21 “mother ship” is a little scary, but the new-found freedom and flexibility to truly run our business how we think it should be run is well worth the stress.

Hang on, it’s going to be a wild ride!

4 Max February 27, 2008 at 1:44 pm

12 The Phoenix Real Estate Guy February 27, 2008 at 2:47 pm

Mark, Drew, Christoph, Howard, David, Greg, Michael - thank you all so much for your kind words. Francy and I truly appreciate the support all our friends have shown us. It really means a lot to both of us.

Christoph, not sure how much brain there is to pick, but you’re certainly more than welcome to it!

Franchise Thompson’s Realty…. hmmmmm…… We’d probably need to re-brand with a catchy name. Maybe something with a “z” in it… and Beta! ;)

13 Morgan Carey February 27, 2008 at 3:53 pm

What took you so long? :) - Congrats and good luck with your new venture Jay

14 Hi! I'm Rudy from Trulia. Congrats Jay! February 27, 2008 at 4:00 pm

All the best to you Jay and Francy! I love it - technology and personal touch - what else could a consumer ask for :)

Rudy

15 Ron Tarvin February 27, 2008 at 4:02 pm

Wow Jay! Congrats to you and Francy! I’d come work for ya if you weren’t clear across the country (and if I wasn’t so happy with my Keller Williams office!)

Big step but I’m sure you’ll do GREAT!

18 KC Investments February 27, 2008 at 4:55 pm

I’m really excited and hopeful for your new venture. Being “boutique” should allow you a great deal of latitude and fill a missing niche.

All the best!

20 Teri L February 27, 2008 at 6:23 pm

21 John Wake February 27, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Congratulations!

This is going to be more fun to watch than the Suns with Shaq.

“Yeah, I remember the day back in ‘08 when Jay announced the creation of Thompson’s Realty and now look at it!”

22 Carl Minicucci February 27, 2008 at 8:40 pm

Jay, if you bring half the energy and enthusiasm you have brought to the “PhoenixRealEstateGuy” brand to your new Brokerage, success will surely follow.

By the way, when you get a chance, you will want to rejig the title line (top left above your banner) in your P2 website which makes reference to “Century 21 Aware Realty”.

23 The Phoenix Real Estate Guy February 28, 2008 at 12:58 am

Morgan, Rudy, Ron, Loren, Robert, Chris, Norm, Teri, John, Carl - wow, thats a lot more well wishers. Thanks so much guys and gal!

Carl - I’ve tried 4 times to change that line. It won’t “stick”… I’m hoping it’s related to the maintenance going on and I can change it tomorrow. Thanks for pointing it out! It’s amazing how many places I’ve scattered my old brokerage across the internet. I fear I’ll never find them all….

24 Eric Blackwell February 28, 2008 at 2:15 am

Jay;

First off, congrats on the big move. Best wishes to you and Francy with this. You will do GREAT! The fact that you have scattered your old brokerage all over the net is a testament to how talented and effective you are.

Great job.

Eric

Congrats Jay and Francy! Not that I could teach you anything about real estate, but if I can be of any help, let me know.

Is it just you and Francy, or did you bring some agents with you? Just curious.

42 The Phoenix Real Estate Guy February 28, 2008 at 11:40 pm

Wow, thanks everyone! Francy and I truly appreciate the overwhelming well wishes!!

43 Thomas Johnson February 29, 2008 at 7:31 am

Congratulations, Jay! I see this move as a logical consequence of your unrelenting pursuit of the leading edge of RE Web 2.0 plus your intense focus on the customer experience. Your business model has launched you far beyond what most branded franchises can provide their practitioners. Not the fault of the brands: you are not pushing the envelope, you have shredded it.

My math is fairly simple:

Annual Gross Commissions less (Broker Split + Brand Costs) must exceed Annual Gross Commissions less (Free Agent Broker costs + Additional Overhead)

For Linda and I, the ERA affiliation pays for itself by a huge factor. Everyone’s mileage may vary.

Again congratulations on your new venture. I see nothing but Shaw-sized success for you and Francy!

44 Lane Bailey February 29, 2008 at 7:42 am

Congrats. I hope you guys have a great time with it. My broker knows that the only way I’ll leave is to start my own… and he is nervous…

Have a blast and keep up the good work.

45 Dru Bloomfield February 29, 2008 at 8:16 am

Add me to your list of well wishers! Congratulations on getting it done.

46 Laurie Manny February 29, 2008 at 12:16 pm

Congratulations and best of luck! Great logo….

47 Laura Scheer February 29, 2008 at 6:59 pm

Jay, This is very cool! Congrats to both of you. I really like your logo too. It is sharp!

48 Trevor Smith February 29, 2008 at 8:26 pm

Jay - Best logo I have seen in a long time. Well done.

“near-paperless transactions” Awesome… very awesome.

49 Paula Henry March 2, 2008 at 7:43 pm
