Blog Karma = Real Estate Karma = Life Karma

Ran across this little gem out there in the blogiverse today:

Improving Your Blog Karma

Here's the short list. You can (and should) read the article for the details…

  1. Be real.
  2. Respond to emails.
  3. Offer exclusives.
  4. Make connections.
  5. Join networks.
  6. Avoid snark.
  7. Forgive mistakes.
  8. Post to contact.
  9. Comment and participate.
  10. Show gratitude.

Sage advice.

Apply these ten things to your real estate business and watch it grow.

What the heck, apply these to your life too… teach it to your kids. (assuming they aren't teenagers. Is there some genetic code that shuts down a kid's ears/brain when they turn 15?)

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Hey Phoenix, I'm astonished that people need to be told these things, aren't you? Good tips! And NO, my 16 year old would not hear these; I'm certain at least 50% of the list would elicit a "huh" or a "whuut?"

I think the most important suggestion is #1- the most rare aspect of Real Estate. Keep the good posts comin'!

Very good advice for blogging and for life.

I agree. A great list.

How do you think, google steps nofollow links?
