Hola! Here I sit, poolside at the Las Palmas in Puerto Penasco (aka Rocky Point) Mexico.

I

I may not be coming home. Ever.

We've learned a LOT about the local real estate market, met some agents in a fabulous RE/MAX office here, drank mucho cervezas and had a grand time.

More will be forthcoming early next week…

Hey Jay – Does this mean you’re going to miss the A/R get-together with Craig Schiller on Tuesday?

Man that looks amazing! I must admit the view in my backyard isn’t as nice.

Jay, I would be jealous, but I’ll be doing exactly the same thing on Friday afternoon. We are staying at the Sonoran Spa Resort. Quite frankly, I’m not sure how I don’t get lost whenever we go to Rocky Point, but from what I can gather our place is on the other side of town from the Las Palmas. Too bad we weren’t going to be there at the same time, I’d love to have a couple cervezas with a fellow Phoenician.

We go down every year for an Over-The-Line tournament the last weekend in October. It’s one of my favorite get-aways of the year. I’ll publish a post on our blog with some pictures and commentary when we get back. I wasn’t able to figure out the internet access last year, and quite honestly, I think I’m okay with it. A weekend absent of phone calls and emails sounds a bit refreshing.

Steve –

I was lost most of the time I was there…

Actually, I am virtually certain that the Sonoran Spa is right next door to the Las Palmas! Just don’t ask me how to get there.

If you can, avoid coming back on Sunday afternoon. We waited over 4 hours in a line at the border crossing.

I can also highly recommend renting a Wave Runner / Jet Ski — it’s a total blast! You can rent them right on the beach.

The fish dinner at The Boo Bar is outstanding. (so were the shrimp skewers)

“A weekend absent of phone calls and emails sounds a bit refreshing.”

It’s incredibly refreshing! Enjoy!

It just snowed a foot here in Denver. Oh how I wish I was in Mexico.

Good old Rocky Point. I like that restaurant up on the hill with all the seafood. I think it’s called the lighthouse. Good stuff. Make sure you grab some $5.00 Oakley’s before you head back. Haaa
