Greetings avid readers!

If you’ve subscribed to the comments on this post on the Phoenix Real Estate Guy, then you probably received an email that contained a very inappropriate comment from someone calling them self “BAnne Yonker”.

You have my apologies. That comment has been removed, and the IP address banned.

Unfortunately, there are people out there that tend to spew forth their vitriol on public sites such as this. Rest assured that person’s comment was relegated to its proper place as quickly as I could get to it.

My friend Athol Kay (a darn fine agent in CT) made a very appropriate reply to the comment, but I have removed that comment as well (with Athol’s permission).

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to delete a comment like this (out of 4,000+ comments left here). I don’t like removing comments, but I won’t tolerate that kind of talk on this blog.

I just did something I rarely do. That would be delete a comment. Yours was completely inappropriate. I’m sure you can find a blog or forum out there where you can freely add your racist comments.

Did they show 2006 figures on that chart? To see the marketing time change from year to year.

Definitely be rough sharing time equally with a high production person.

But still it was an accomplishment to be interviewed.

Did they post a video online with the interview? Would like to see it.

Yeah sharing time with Russell would be a little hard. I think that a follow up blog post about your spot and what they didn’t include would be a good idea.

Max is correct they should compare stats from a more normal year, but then it wouldn’t be dramatic.

One thing I definitely didn’t like, when they showed a comparison chart of 2005/2007 and emphasized on the fact that today it takes 3 times longer to sell a property than in 2005. Well, DUH! – 2005 was the craziest year in the history of real estate market (at least that’s what local economists say). They should be more realistic and compare “apples to apples”.

As for the 400 homes a year… we are almost there – only 399 homes to go

Max – I’m thinking if you sell 400+ homes a year, you get top billing. What they didn’t say is I was behind the scenes, coaching Russell on what to say. (KIDDING folks!)

“Pre-inspections” can work very well.

I wish they’d left in what I said about the seller needing to make the emotional detachment from their home and treat it like a business transaction, look through the eyes of the buyer, blah blah blah.

But hey, sharing air time with one of the top producers in the country is nothing to be ashamed of!
