Denver Humor (?)

Spotted this on Kristal Kraft’s blog. Kristal is a Denver area real estate blogger. She seems to find this humorous.

I fail to see the humor.

It ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings. (Granted, she’s humming rather loudly…)

Jay Thompson

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy runs on AgentPress

AgentPress is a specialized WordPress theme for real estate agents and brokers, powered by the industry standard Genesis Framework. With AgentPress on your team, you're empowered to get the most out of WordPress for online marketing.

Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that powers any successful website. And AgentPress provides the specific listing and lead-generation functionality real estate pros need to succeed.

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

I actually didn't even get the joke until I checked out some of the comments. Not a big sports guy though, so that may have something to do with it.

I am suprised it was not on leno. This is something he would find funny and show on headlines. Maybe they mean the real snake not the baseball team.

Jay, I can't thank you enough for getting me in touch with Mr. Belt for this oh-so-fun little wager. I wonder if Amazon has free shipping on brooms?

"I wonder if diamondbacks taste like chicken?"

Actually, pretty close. Tends to be a little drier and "chewy" than chicken.

"Ah, Curt. That would be the guy sporting a World Series Championship ring, right?"

Two of them. Let's not forget the one he got as a Dback. Along with a WS MVP trophy. Curt's a stud.

Ah, Curt. That would be the guy sporting a World Series Championship ring, right?

Todd, I wonder what the odds were in April for the Rockies getting to and/or winning the world series? I bet with a $1,000 wager we could've bought a home in Scottsdale. :)

Jay - that's why I said there was more baseball to be played. Jeff - It's got to taste better than Curt's bloody sock.

Your right Jay - it happens every century or so. Wait a minute, it's only happened once so far. I guess it could happen again, after only three years. :) Of course, how ironic it would be if they did, and it was the Red Sox waiting for them in the series?

Hey! This *is* a Phoenix blog people! It's not over yet (technically). It's possible to come back from being down 3 - 0....

Wow, very cool. I'd forgotten that. At least the kids in Denver won't be intimidated.

Jeff - This summer, the Rockies took two out of three against the Sox... in Boston. They lost the first game 2-1 then crushed them 12-2 and 7-1. I'm not one to make predictions, but the Rockies know they can beat the Sox. Anything could happen.

Still, there's more baseball to be played before that matchup would play out.

Todd - When yer hot, yer hot. Anyone who hits two homers in under 40 degree weather, while it's raining, against a solid major league pitcher? Ah, Hello?! The Baseball Gods are rooting for the Rockies I think. :)

We'll see what happens when they face a real lineup - Boston. It could get ugly. I'll still be rooting for the Rockies though.

Hey Todd, That's terrific news! Shall we celebrate at Brothers BBQ?

:)

I guess we won't be shutting up tonight Jeff! Rockies win... again.

Jay, It's not really THAT cold. The temp right now is 38 degrees. Much too warm to snow. ;)

Well that's just not fair, sending a bunch of boys from the desert up to play baseball in the snow...

Jay,

Granted she is humming rather loudly...tonight we plan to freeze the DB's at Coors. Snow has been ordered up. Brrrrrr!

Too bad the Rockies are terrible!

OK guys lets get back to reality, Its Over! Sorry

Go Rockies. World Series Sweep here we come.

The way to shut them up is simple - win a game. :)
