Can you be more specific on "As an elected official I will ensure our tax dollars are spent responsibly and used to protect your right to personal safety." But, his guy Erin seems to at least have a platform that can have an effect on (good or bad) on the council. ;-) I do disagree with you about the pay. $22,000 for a part time job is not bad. The average real estate agent makes $40,000 before his deductions for mandatory license and association fees along with the various MLS that they pay out of pocket. And, let's not forget the advertising (internet and print) or the automobile allowance. My town appears to be in equal size and we pay each council member $12,000. After looking at the net income on my tax return for 2008 and my current property taxes, I'm thinking of running.
