Gary V - enthusiastic is one word to describe him...

Those that have been reading here for awhile know I love Gary Vaynerchuk. I had the pleasure of hearing Gary speak live not once but twice tonight. The guy gets it. “It” being business, and life. He took a good business (his families $3 million a year wine business) and grew it into an great business – to $60 million in five years.

Thanks to Doug Sutton with Keller Williams Realty East Valley for bringing Gary in for a special session just before his book tour signing event at Changing Hands Bookstore.

I got to the KW event early and grabbed the front row center seat. Below is a video of Gary’s entire talk, and most of the Q&A at the end. Sorry for the abrupt cutoff at the end, but the Flip cam only records for 57 minutes.

Disclosure: Gary isn’t one to mince words. If “colorful” language offends you, you may not want to watch. Yes, it’s almost an hour long, but it’s well worth it if you are even remotely interested in growing your business, social media and / or how to get more out of life…

And keep reading below the video to find out how you can win a FREE autographed copy of Gary’s New York Times bestselling book, Crush It!

A BIG thanks to Joe Manna and Infusionsoft for processing and hosting this video! You rock.

sweet… I love winning TPREG contests!
Gary does “get it” and his enthusiasm for life, people and business is contagious! I love how he talks about changing the way people think about business, his love for family and his use of “media.”
“Crush It” is very fitting…
Great to see you last night!

Thanks for recording this, Jay…I really wanted my kids to hear Gary's message. Yeah…they are all boys, so the salty language will make it all the more believable to them!

Yesterday was the first time hearing Gary speak and I am now a huge fan. Gary's pep talk gave me just the boost I needed – sometimes it is tough to be patient when you have a family to feed and every deal takes a few weeks off your life expectancy. But it is a lot easier to hang in there when you are doing something you really love and doing it the way you believe in. It's nice to be reminded of that from time to time.

And BTW, I could really use a copy of that book :)

I saw some of your tweets from this yesterday! How awesome it must have been to hear them speak. I saw him briefly on CNN a few Saturdays ago. I will be back to watch this video this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing Jay! This is the first chance that I have had to see Gary speak and what an amazing, down to earth, straight talking guy he is. I was truly motivated by his dead on approach to “things are changing”. The market I work in struggles (severely struggles) to understand this dynamic and massive culture shift. We not only need to “go where the eyes are” we need to use our eyes to see what is happening around us and use this insight to move forward. The message is out there – it is just a matter of who really sees it. This was just the pick me up I needed today. Thanks again Jay.

Wow, The first time I heard of Gary. Just shows the POWER of the internet, blogs, twitter, etc. Thanks for posting and sharing the video. I just ordered the book on Amazon. If I win one of yours ( I would love asigned copy) I will give the one I just ordered to another friend with a passion who will certainly benefit from it. Planting seeds…

Thanks Jay, it's great that somebody got Gary's talk on video. It's impossible to convey his meesage adequately without seeing him speak. I admit that I was skeptical at first, but seeing him speak in front of two different audiences last night has made me a believer. Though his message was largely the same, he carefully tailored it to the different audience, keeping it fresh and interesting (if anything I though the second time was better suited to me personally, even with the lack of 'colorful language'.)

Gary is truly somebody who gets it. Not just business, or social media, or family, or community, but ALL of it.

Nice post, thanks for capturing to video. (As of now, it's über slow, but I imagine it will lighten up later.) Would be great to upload to Vimeo for ideal playback. It was a great event and we all welcomed Gary as he shared his advice and enthusiasm for entrepreneurs and startups alike. I thought his “colorful” language was dialed down from his expected F-bombs and such.

Anyhow, I have my thoughts on my blog about it [ http://www.joemanna.com/blog/now-is-the-time-to... ] No need to draw me for the signed copy, I picked up a few. :)

Hey Joe –

I'd love to get that video hosted somewhere else, but it's 2.5GB. Even a Premium Vimeo account (which I don't have) has a max file size of 1 GB. And suggestions? (other than splitting the file into parts, which I'd like to avoid)

Rock on! I'm thankful you recorded this as I was unable to attend the “talking” part of Gary's visit here in Portland. Can't wait to watch it.

Gary is worth shooting for 57minutes. Thanks Jay for getting this video for us. It is inspiring, after all this guy has created a huge business empire not a joke.

Gary is all out there! No secrets – all passion – 100% motivated and fun to listen to. I misses his visit to Phoenix. I was working too hard myself. He inspired me to hack together a beer version of Cork'd that I call Chug'd (http://chugd.com).

I would love a copy of his signed book!

Cheers,
Chris Matthieu

Gary says it like it is. There are so mnay people in business these days who are going through life like Zombies (yes it is Halloween). Well worth a listen and even more to remember what makes you jump out of bed in the morning and say Lets Go!

Jay, thanks for sharing! I'll have to check and see if Gary will be in LA soon (probably already has been). I'm going to buy this book if I don't win it. I better get my wallet ready with my Vegas type luck. I thought the Flip records for 60 minutes? I have one, that's what I thought mine does…perhaps I'm wrong?

I'm such an idiot. Set up the flip cam, drew two winners only to find out that apparently I didn't press the “record” button hard enough….

Rather than recreate a video of the drawing, I'll just announce the winners here.

{{drum roll}}

Kristin LaVanway and Chris Matthieu each win an autographed copy of Gary Vaynerchuk's Crush It!

I'll be contacting you both for your shipping address.

Thanks to everyone for playing!!
