Glad I’m on WordPress…

Sometimes WordPress drives me batty. But at least I don’t ever have to see this:

TypePad

TypePad is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we’re working hard to bring the service back online as soon as possible. For updates and more information, visit status.sixapart.com.

Sorry to my cyberpals that are running TypePad blogs….

But it clearly demonstrates yet another advantage to running a self-hosted WordPress blog. (the other being those goofy TypePad trackbacks)

Noticed that last night, too. Thought it was a one-blog thing only to discover it was everyone.

Very happy to be on WordPress on my own server.

Here here. The only last step I’d like to take is bringing my server back in house so I have complete control over it.
