OK, so the title is a terrible play on Buffet’s “Come Monday”. Sorry…
I finally booked my flight and hotel for Inman Connect San Francisco (July 23 – 25).
Got a smoking deal on Expedia, flight plus four nights in the Parc 55 hotel just a couple of blocks from the festivities. The Hotel was $160/night. Single bed rooms were available for $130. (compare that to the $220 – $350 of nearby hotels). I’ll be rooming with Christoph Schweiger. Hope he knows what he’s getting in to…
I’m honored to be moderating a panel, Case Study: How Four Bloggers Are Closing Sales: What’s tactics work for generating business? The panel is 100% estrogen, but it should rock. Also moderating the ending Q&A with the other 4 mods — that should be a veritable free-for-all.
I’m arriving on Monday July 21 at 3:48pm. If you’re going, look me up!
“Why Monday if the conference starts on Wednesday?”, you may be asking.
Well, that’s because RE Bar Camp is on Tuesday!!
You’d be nuts to attend Inman and miss Bar Camp. Just take a peek at the partial list of attendees. It is, dare I say it, an all-star line up of the real estate blogging community. There is sure to be a wealth of info to be shared here.
What’s a Bar Camp? “BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.”
And it’s free.
Joel posted a nifty Bloggers Connect agenda on the Inman Blog. A couple of commenters there asked if the conference was better suited for the novice or advanced blogger, and why/if it would be beneficial to attend.
This was my response:
I certainly can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m hoping with my panel to cover topics that will help BOTH the novice and more advanced blogger. Realize that won’t be an easy task in 45 minutes.
I’ll be at the entire Inman event though, and would be *more* than happy to meet one-on-one or in a small group with anyone who wants to discuss any aspect of real estate blogging.
As with any conference, I think much of the learning happens “in the hallways”, and is what you make of it. There is a lot of real estate blogging experience in that list. I’m honored to have met almost all of them personally and I know they are are willing to share with anyone from the sub-entry level to those with doctorates in Blogology.
So heck yeah, GO!
There is a special “Blogger’s Rate” for the entire conference. Hurry! Offer expires this Friday (June 6)!

Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones!
