I really wanted to like MT based on my initial research, but found too many negative reviews, as I dug a little deeper. I ended up staying right where I was, for now. I keep playing with the idea of changing hosting companies. I noticed our server goes down on occassion. Of course its hard to know if it goes down more or less than the average hosting company. Basically I copied files over to the new host and when that was done, changed the name servers from GoDaddy to Media Temple. I didn't delete the files on GD until I was sure everything was solid with MT. Nothing fancy AREB. Granted, I've only been using Media Temple for a week, but I've had zero problems. They were swift and efficient setting it up, and the one time I called customer support they were fabulous. I did not realize there were any negatives to the company. He made it sound like they were one of the best in the industry. My new sites do seem slow but I thought it was just his bloated code. deretiree dot com and deh2o dot com both are works in progress but have already started to rank well and bring in their first leads.
