It’s That Time of Year – Watch EVERYONE Around Water

Todays high temperature is supposed to be a toasty 97 degrees.

With warmer temperatures comes swimming pool time. Don’t believe me? Go to your local home improvement store and note the barren shelves in the pool chemical area.

In just the last eight days, there has been a near drowning of a five year old in Gilbert, and last night an 18 year old was found dead in the family pool.

Every year I post a similar message. With two incidents this week, we are not off to a good start.

Please, watch your kids, watch your friends, watch EVERYONE around water. Accidental drownings are completely preventable.

  • Yeah it's a shame how many kids die every year in Arizona from drownings. This year has already, as you mentioned, started out bad.

We were just talking about it being pool time yesterday!

Pools are fun but it's extremely important to watch kids around the pool - As they say, it only takes a few seconds (or minute??).
  • It amazes me how parents don't watch their kids around water and a lot of other dangerous things. Small kids are curious, inpulsive, lack judgement and have no idea of consequenses. Our sole purpose is to protect, educate and prepare our kids to go out on their own one day. That starts the day they are born and doesn't end until they are out of the house.
