Last Day at the Beach

The cell phone hasn’t rung since Thursday.
I’ve got hundreds of emails (mostly spam).
There are “1000+” unread blog posts in my feed reader.
I haven’t even logged on to Twitter, much less sent a tweet in over 3 days.

And I don’t want it to end.

I wanna be a pirate.

  • I know the feeling well. I want nothing more than to live beneath the palm trees and the sunshine. Sea-salt air is the best aroma therapy on earth.
  • I want to sign up too. But is there any water for us to sail on? Or do we just hang out on deck and get a little sun? ;-)
  • I didn't know you were a parrot head! So cool what ya doing in Phoenix?
  • @Daniel - I could easily live on the beach. It's by far and away my preferred place to be.

@Bill - I've got no problem just hanging and sunning... :)

Barry - I'm a deep and complex guy. There are many things you don't know about me. ;)

My previous corporate life brought me from Austin to Phoenix. In Austin I was close enough to the Gulf coast to visit 3 - 4 times a year.

    Buffett is my hero!
  • I hear you loud and clear Jay.

My wife and I had not taken a vacation in 3 years before April 2008. We spent 15 nights at ClubMed in the Turks and Caicos Islands... what a dream come true! Not only did we recoup, and lay about, but we both got certified as SCUBA Divers with a P.A.T.I. Certification. Talk about fun... it was like looking into a major salt water tank, only we were in it!!! And, the waters there are more clear than your average swimming pool!

I could go on forever about the trip with it's free sail boats, trapeze, snorkeling, food and drinks (and a whole lot more included in the price), but it will only make me long to be back there and I have to prepare for another wonderful summer in Scottsdale with our awesome Monsoon and all of its lightning and such!

Glad to know you like the beach as much as I do!
