For Sale: 2310 W Alamo Drive Chandler AZ 85224
Here’s another great property in the very popular Heatherbrook neighborhood in Chandler. You’ll LOVE this super-convenient location that is close to restaurants, shopping, freeways, jobs and more.
You’ll find beautifully tiled floors, vaulted ceilings, a kitchen island that can easily seat 4 to 5 people and a very functional floor plan with 3 bedrooms and a den / office. You’ll also find a very environmentally-friendly and water efficient home with LED lighting, low-flow fixtures and faucets, electric hybrid water heater, sun shades and so much more.
This is an updated 1984 model home in Heatherbrook neighborhood. You’ll find vaulted ceilings throughout. The interior has recently been freshly painted in Sherwin-Williams neutral gray with white trim, doors and ceilings. This is a spacious eco-friendly home with EPA WaterSense fixtures in the bathrooms. Plush Shaw carpeting was recently installed throughout home. Interior lighting is LED; exterior lighting fixtures are International Dark Sky approved. Backyard landscaping is low, low maintenance with mature, drought tolerant native plants and trees that enhance an avian habitat. The Palo Brea trees encompassing the perimeter of the backyard provide a shade canopy to reduce the heat island effect. This home emphasizes water efficiency and water conservation. The Heatherbrook neighborhood has great walkable amenities: pool with separate jacuzzi, tennis courts and large green open spaces. The ASU Research Park is within biking distance with plenty of trails to enjoy! The proximity to the 101 freeway makes this home a real find at the nexus of Chandler, Tempe and Mesa!
Eco Cosentino Counters:
The recently replaced kitchen island top and bathroom counter is fabricated from Cosentino’s ECO Green Collection. It has 75% recycled content composed of post-industrial or post-consumer materials and is bound by environmentally-friendly resin which comes in part from corn oil. Most of the raw materials used in the new island and bathroom counters are porcelain, glass, crystallized ash, mirror, corn based resin and stone scraps. All of these materials have reached the end of their life cycle and therefore, save on the consumption of natural resources.
Misingi porcelain tile:
The Misingi porcelain tile used in the entry, hall and on the kitchen counter is from Arizona Tile and requires minimal maintenance. Using digital print technology, it looks like exactly like wood! This tile was chosen for this home because the manufacturer recycles 100% of the wastewater in the production process. More than 90% of the solid waste created during the production process is also recycled. It has 0% emissions into water and less than 5g/m(squared) of cold emissions into the air. Misingi tile also contains 4% dry material pre-consumer content and 3% post-consumer recycled content. Misingi tile has a very low impact on the environment. For this home that focuses on less impact on our water resources, it was the perfect choice!
Shimmer glass accent tile used on the kitchen backsplash contains 15% post-consumer recycled content which includes recycled glass. These tiles are hand-poured resulting in beautiful variations in color and texture. Teal was selected to be reminiscent of cool water on a hot summer day in the desert!
The beautiful Kirei Board used on the Kitchen Island and in the bathroom vanity reduces forest clear-cutting, air pollution, and landfill use. The reclaimed sorghum stalks used are a rapidly renewable resource left after the edible portion of the plant is harvested. The removal of the stalks from the waste stream helps sequester carbon, making Kirei Board a carbon-negative material. Kirei Board is made using a no-added formaldehyde adhesive, keeping toxins out of the indoor environment.
You’ll also love the environmentally friendly landscaping that is very easy to care for.
Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater:
OK, this might be the coolest water heater I’ve ever seen. It is an A.O. Smith Voltex Electric Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater. Voltex uses 50% less energy than a standard water heater by using the air in the surrounding environment to heat the water as well as cooling the space where the water heater is located.
