Thanks for the Memorial Day tribute. Really nice. Yes, too many people just think of this holiday as simply another day to be off work and Bar B Q or be with family, which is good, but the true meaning is in honoring those who have sacrificed for our country. I have had 2 of those folded US flags my self- from my late father and my late husband.

That was a great video to share, Jay. Thanks for putting the little reminder to us all to take a moment and thank all of those who have fallen for our safety.

Jay,

Don’t know if you realize this or not, but at least two of the stills in this video are of services for other nation’s military. I noted what I believe to be a Canadian and a Phillipine service. Just goes to show our allies have sacrificed their finest too in defense of all our liberties.

That was a touching video. It both saddens me and make me proud. Good luck to all those servicemen and women who will hopefully come home safely.

I just caught that there are services from other countires on there as well-it is great to keep in mind that so many other countries have also fought along beside us.

It`s been a while since I took a few moments of my day off in order to remember what a memorial day really is. I usually do this every year on our country heroes day. And in my opinion every man should do that and show that they are thankful for the world they live in.

Thank you for your quiet but very eloquent post on Memorial Day. I still remember this year's annual Memorial Day ceremony includes Presentation of the Colors, remarks by a special guest and wreath-laying service. Today, a memorial ceremony, and tours of the ship are available. These great destinations have so many activities for families.
