Iron Mike Tyson, former heavyweight champion turned pigeon raising nut case has sold his home in the upscale area of Paradise Valley in Phoenix.
According the the MLS, the home was listed for $2,450,000 and sold for $2,339,000 after 114 days on the market.
Here is a satellite view of the home
7,788 SQUARE FEET, 6 BEDROOMS, 5 BATHS — Actually not all that much home for Paradise Valley.
Here's a front elevation pic from the listing when Tyson bought the home in May 2005 for $2.1M – with a $420,000 down payment. (Recall Tyson filed for bankruptcy in Aug 2003…)
Tyson is going on trial in August for felony drug possession charges and two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of drugs. He was arrested Dec. 29 in Scottsdale after driving away from a nightclub.
It wasn't his first brush with the law.
The listing agent reports that working with Mike was "a pleasure".
Another story (same stuff – pigeon coop, pleasure to work with, cocaine problems, blah blah blah).
The guy is a twit, but he was a hell of a fighter. I do sincerely hope he gets his act together this time.
