Millionaires in Maricopa County

From the “did you know” files….

Maricopa County ranks third in the nation for highest number of millionaire residents.

We’ve got more millionaires here than Orange County, Houston, Seattle, San Diego, Silicon Valley, New York, and other large metro areas.

Surprised me.

Size matters, so I’m sure the fact that Phoenix is the fifth or sixth (depending on who you listen to) largest city in the country drives a lot of this.

Or maybe it’s just the idyllic weather we enjoy for much of the year.

Only Los Angeles County and Cook County, IL (think Chicago) have more millionaire residents — at least according to TNS-Global’s annual Affluent Market Research Program.

If any Maricopa County millionaires are looking to buy or sell a home, you know who to call.

It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

WOW - I never knew we were loaded! Looks like most of the money is concentrated in Maricopa - might be because we don't have several large counties like CA and TX??

A multimillionaire is a person with more than 2 million and a hector-millionaire with more than 100 million units of a currency.

Excellent point Irene! Thanks!

Besides our great weather, we do have lots of retirement communities, and lots of people with second homes... I am sure that plays into the numbers.

Wow! I heard that there was money in this town, but that is an amazing statistic on millionaires!
