New York City at 3:00am

I’m in New York City for the 2010 Inman Connect Real Estate Conference and RE Bar Camp NYC 2010. Couldn’t sleep, so I took a quick walk around my hotel, The Royalton. It was 3:00am, and 28 degrees outside so I didn’t last long. Here’s a quick look at midtown Manhattan at 3:00am. All natural lighting, hand held, with no re-touch or cropping (hey, it’s late…)

This city is truly amazing… the architecture, the people, the sheer size…

Wow. great pics. New York is so calm. It's a perfect atmosphere for a New York dating getaway. LOL. I love New York. Great that it still has the shine.

I enjoyed your photos. Manhattan is one of my favorite places in the world. A favorite stop during when the weather is warmer is the terrace at The Met. You can enjoy sculptures, wine/beer etc. and an expansive view of Central Park.

Nice photos. NYC has special atmosphere during any time of the day but I must agree that in the night it's different. As you said the architecture, the people... simply it's only one place in the world like that. I have to also say that NYC is one the few places where I would like to live if I had to move from Vancouver.

Jay Banks

For those that subscribed to comments on this article, I apologize for the inappropriate comments left by "Neena". I guess when you write an article about New York City at 3:00am, it brings the freaks out.

Nice photos, interesting perspective of NYC. It's a great place to "people watch". So many people, yet you can still feel invisible. Didn't bump into you yesterday, but cheers and greetings anyway.

NYC is almost like a movie set with great architecture and an amazing energy.

Wish I was there at Inman Connect, but I still need to sell more homes. Hope to read more about the experience.

Nothing beats NYC. I'd never live anywhere else, yet us Manhattanites take it for granted. It's nice to see these pics. Reminds me how much I love living here.

The streets are small are a lot of the roads one way only? The city looks amazing and what great architecture. Looks like fun!

Sorry I didn't get to come up and meet you. I would have loved to have had a beer and walked the streets of NYC with you. I love NY. I was going to attend the Rain Camp but the one car went into the shop and that kind of messed up my schedule for the week. Even to take the train to NY from Atlantic City would require me to take the bus to Atlantic City to catch the train. And, like you said, it is too cold out. Maybe next time. Nice pictures BTW.

I was at the US last vacation but couldn't fix a trip to NY. I'll plan this year to NY. They looks good. Thanks for sharing those pictures of NY. BTW - the guy is tired off ?

Awesome pics Jay, my wife and I went to NYC a few weeks ago right before Christmas. Was amazing, went because I have always wanted to see Letterman and finally got tickets. Took the red eye from San Diego and arrived around 4:45am. Instead of sleeping, we walked down to Times Square from the Hotel and took some great pictures around 6 in the morning. That was pretty awesome, it was a long day but seeing Times Square with hardly anyone around was super cool and seeing Letterman was great!

Hello NY in 3am. Nothing much surprising, right? Nice photos. I wish I could live there.
