New York City - First Impressions from Real Estate Connect

by Jay - The Phoenix Real Estate Guy on January 8, 2008

The conference hasn’t started, but I did manage to get out a bit and take a look around some of Manhattan.

This city is… well, I’m not sure I have the vocabulary for it. Let’s just say there is a lot going on.

Tried to get a typical tourist shot of Times Square. Truck got in the way:

I survived a subway ride from Times Square to Ground Zero.

Seeing Ground Zero was a very moving and emotional experience for me. The devestation was immense. More than six years after 9/11 and they are still cleaning up rubble. I’ll post more pics later. For now here’s one and a couple video clips of some raw footage. Sorry about the shakyness, I was sticking my hands through a hole in the fence and had this fear of dropping the camera into the abyss.

And finally, here’s proof you can find anything in Manhattan.
