Legal woes are never funny, and it is amazing how quickly the lawyer's bills add up! They sure got a liucense to print money! I sometimes think the lawyers contact each other on commencement of proceedings, and after figuring out how much money their respective clients have, then embark on a suitable course to extract maximum profits for themselves from the proceedings. Covering yourself by being transparent and honest throughout the process of the deal is pretty much the best insurance you can have against this kind of thing happening.

Quite interesting. I believe that house is worth what the other is prepared to pay for it. If she paid for it, she either thought the price was right or really wanted it. In the UK estate agents are representing the vendor (seller), as they are only allowed to charge him. It is a common practice to have a mortgage broker at the estate agent’s office and I can’t see a problem with that. It will be interesting to know to what conclusion this case will come to.

We all got it taken to us. but there are some people out there that made money and a lot of it. My plan, work up to the next bubble and try and see it coming before everybody else.

Great information and comments!

I personally is in the process of trying to be sued by and buyer right now for unbelievable reasons to say the least. Its hard out here for agents/home owners these days how the economy is.

We take a big hit with the value of our homes, and now still we have to deal with situations like this from buyers.

Ant the general public perception happens to hold a lot of weight.
