Our First Birthday! Thompson’s Realty is One Year Old Today

logo with slogan175 365 days ago we opened the “doors” of Thompson’s Realty.

365 days ago some long established real estate brokers told me to my face, “Your business model won’t work. I wish you the best, but you’ll be out of business within a year.” Other’s have since said a “virtual office” can’t work, “Without a brick & mortar office people won’t take you seriously”, “You’ll never be able to recruit agents”, “You can’t start a real estate brokerage in this market” etc. etc. ad nauseam.

Well to all those Negative Nancy’s, I have just one thing to say:

You were wrong.

Granted, we’re only a year old and it is far too early to claim success. But we’ve not just survived, we’ve grown. We are proud to say that nine of the best real estate agents on the planet are working together to insure present, past and future clients of Thompson’s Realty receive customer service that is beyond reproach.

We are in the midst of one of the worst housing markets in memory. But people still buy and sell homes every day, and we are here to make sure all those home buyers, sellers, investors and those just considering entering the market have every possible tool, piece of information, and an experienced team of agents to help them through every step of their real estate experience – and beyond.

To my family and my friends across the continent (and beyond) – thank you for all your support and encouragement. That means a great deal to me.

To Jamie, Heather, Steve, Chris, Rock, Dave, Michelle and Francy – thank you from the bottom of my heart. You make my job easy, and I can not imagine working with a finer group of people. You are amazing agents and even more amazing human beings.

To all of our clients – thank you for putting your trust and confidence in us and allowing us into your lives. You are why we do this and we appreciate each and every one of you more than you’ll ever know.

Congratulations! It’s great to see Real Estate companies doing well when there is so much negativity around Real Estate right now. You are correct in that there are people buying and selling homes. I actually like today’s buyers more than the thousands of buyers in 05.

I would have never believed it’s ONLY been a year. Your achievements to date are an undervalued testament to your now sought after voice in the greater Phoenix real estate market and beyond. Best wishes to you and Francy, and your team for a wildly successful future – a lot of us listen closely to your voice, logic and reason.

Maybe one of these days things will free up so you can actually make some money from my dreams. :)

That’s amazing that you have run a real estate business of the web, I’m not sure I would want to do that, but if it is working I give you props. I know it’s prolly a lot safer for you, don’t have to pay for an office or a building. Hope things keep up!

Jay – Good for you for sticking to your plan. We’ve been web based for 3 years now here in Big Canoe, and we’re still chugging along. To be honest, I’m glad we don’t have the added expense of a brick and mortar storefront. I wish you continued success.

Congrats and keep up the great work. Here in New Jersey it would be impossible to open a virtual office since they actually define what the office must look like and where the entrances and exits must be.
