What:

The F.Q. Story Historic District consists of 602 homes dating from the late 1920’s and spanning a wide variety of architectural styles such as English Tudor, Craftsman bungalows, Spanish Colonial and Neoclassical.

10 restored homes along Lynwood Street will be open for tours. On Saturday evening there will be Dickens Carolers and luminaries to set the holiday atmosphere. Sunday brings dozens of food and craft vendors.

Tickets are required to view the home interiors, but are not required to wander the street and vendor areas.

Proceeds go to the association to continue efforts to install period lighting, maintain their web site, and work with other Phoenix historic districts. A “few thousand” visitors are expected according to the FAQ.

Phoenix homes tend to have a reputation of being nothing but stucco and tile roofs. Here’s a great opportunity to see some early Phoenix homes in a multitude of styles.

What a nice blog post. I just happened across your blog when "working"!

So nice to read about restoration when so much history is being pulled down nowadays. Great stuff.

Makes me want to go on holiday LOL

Thanks
