Phoenix Real Estate Guy: New Look, Same Great Taste

Several have commented both on and off-line about the new look of our humble abode — many thanks to all!

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy is undergoing a little cosmetic work. The spiffy new header graphic was done by a graphics guy found on eBay of all places. Steve's eBay name is bladoww. Does great logos too. Insanely great service and prices. Highly recommended. (Hat tip to Ron Tarvin for finding Steve!)

The rest of our little face lift, lipo and tummy tuck is being done by yours truly. I grew weary of the same blue link colors that 40 bazillion other sites/blogs have so I matched some of the colors up with the header colors (ColorPic is a wonderful tool for this type of thing. Cost $0.) This requires heading into the CSS stylesheets, but it's not too painful.  Put in a few new plugins, took a few out. Wayback is kinda neat – puts up a list of posts from a year ago (or whatever period you tell it to).

More to come. Steve's stretching the header graphic a little to see how that works (done. I'm telling you, this guy is good) there will be more shifting and shuffling, but the bulk of it is done.

All the work should be complete by the time TPREG celebrates it's 2nd birthday on May 8.

It's entirely possible that in my tinkering under the hood I've rendered something non-functional. If you see anything, please let me know!

Hey, May 8th is MY birthday too (not my blog’s). I like the way back plugin. Noticed it the other day and thought, “that’s cool!” Might have to borrow it. You are brave for delving into the colors. Maybe I will have to try that too. Dang, a blogger’s work is never done.

Great Stuff Jay. Looks good! And yes, I was truly lucky to find Steve. I’ve hired others to do graphic work for me but none have been as good, fast, affordable and CREATIVE as Steve.

Looks good Jay. It’s always a much bigger job switching things than you tink it will be.

Jay, I love it. The new colors and the header are wonderful. Just as Chris S. said, I’m also in the process of making improvements. It’s like owning a home, your just never done with improvements.

Well from the looks of things it looks like they did a good job. Well designed and not overly cluttered. Great work.
