I think this can be a good thing and a bad thing. Cams can keep these people from not stopping at red lights. On the bad side i don’t like the gov to know every thing i do in my own car.

why couldn’t the sensor on the 101 have gone bad last year when I got nailed?

Jay, It was funny to read this article as I remember getting “flashed” on the 101 a couple weeks ago and looking down at my speedometer thinking it must be somebody else, but then again no one was flying by.

Having had my photo taken on City of Scottsdale streets (beware of Chaparral Road and also Shea Blvd.) a couple of times over the past 7 or so years, I will say that attending the resulting 8 hours of traffic school (in lieu of the fine) has made me a much more conscious driver.

In Tucson we have the photo radar’s as well what a joke those are but I guess they will get people to slow down one way or another.
