My 9 year old became obsessed with Harry Potter and read all 6 books in the last couple of years. He has been waiting for 6 months (since he finished number 6) and couldn't wait. We made the decision since it was the last one, he was the perfect age, and it is about READING to go to the midnight madness party. He was thrilled. We bought him a Draco Malfoy costume, slicked back his hair and spend the night there. He won a prize in the costume contest, got sorted, played the trivia game ( I was impressed at his ability to remember small details from all 6 books), and stood in line. We got home after 1am.
