How many people that read Phoenix Real Estate Guy have an iPhone?
I have no idea.
I don’t even have one.
But, if you do have an iPhone, your Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog experience just got better. I know, hard to believe it could get any better isn’t it? But it did!
Here are some screen shots…
Just navigate to PhoenixRealEstateGuy.com, and you will see this:

Press the title for the full post, or the down arrow for a excerpt. The number in the little red circle indicates the current number of comments. See the “Menu” link? Press that…

How cool is that?
Of course you will want to add the iPhoneish Phoenix Real Estate Guy to your home screen. Just click the “+” link at the bottom and press “Add to Home Screen” (go ahead and email it to your buddies too while you are there):

And wha-la! You’ll have a spiffy little custom TPREG icon on your iPhone for easy access. Now all you iPhone users have no excuse for getting behind on your Phoenix Real Estate Guy reading!

With gratitude to Todd Carpenter at Lenderama for the plugin info, testing and screen shots.

This is really slick! I’ve had a mobile version of my sites for a while, but the iPhone version sure looks cool. I’ll have to check out the plugin. Thanks!

Thanks Jay
Would love to check it out but for some reason my iphone isn’t working for web browsing!
The email still works.
Will check it out when I get up and running.

It looks great Jay and I was happy to do the screen shots. Only now, everyone knows I’m no where close to inbox zero.

I finally got the iphone to work again. The key board on the iphone also often freezes up and the battery life if horrific if you don’t turn off all the features that make the iphone and iphone.
Other than that it is a very good device!
As to the PREG for iphone:
I am not sure its any better-I like the “Phoenix Real Estate Guy” banner across the top on the web based browers which is missing in the iphone integration.
The iphone does a good job of rendering web pages, so I am not sure a separate safari iphone version is necessary.
It is nice that you can save the PREG as an icon to on your iphone.

Jay I don’t have an iphone because I think there are other phones that work better for me as an agent, however quite a few of my clients have iphones and I think more and more web-savvy consumers will have them. We should see more and more websites that will have mobile users in mind.

Thanks Louis. I’ve heard (but can’t confirm as I am iPhoneless) that some pages, particularly the home search page) break on the “regular” view on the iPhone. This plugin allows me to disable those problem pages.
I need to borrow someone’s iPhone and do more extensive testing of both versions…

In Austin, we use GE’s supra ekey system for lockboxes which doesn’t work on an Iphone. I would love to switch to iphone but I’m stuck with the TREO for now. Does anyone know if they are planning to port to software so you can open lockboxes with an iphone?

Count me as one of the people who read your blog on my iphone.

Micheal - we use GE’s Supra eKeys here too. You can get it in the Treo, or carry a separate key. Isn’t that an option in Austin?
Michael Reilly 08.30.08 at 11:57 am
Jay - Yes, you can carry a seperate key but I like having the technology to open the doors built in my phone. That’s why I use the TREO now. I like having just one device and not having to remember to bring the seperate ekey. It’s the only reason I haven’t switched to an iphone. I’m sure iphone will add the technology to run supra ekeys soon.
