Real Estate Blog of the Week!

Yawn. Yet ANOTHER new real estate blog has been born. Happens almost daily it seems. Like anything in life, they range from the good to the bad to the ugly. You're on your own to find the bad and ugly. Trust me, you won't have to look too far.

But when I find a good one, I like to share. And there's a real gem brewing in God's Country (that would be my adopted hometown of Austin, Texas).

The "Austin Realtor's Wife" has spooled up "Real Estate Wives (and Husbands)" a nice twist on the "I'm the greatest agent, use me or be stoopid" blog.

This blog has a couple of things going for it straight out of the chute:

  1. As already mentioned, it's based in Austin.
  2. The author is a graduate of THE University of Texas. (I attended UT, dropped out, and finally returned to St. Edward's University in Austin to complete my degree. But I'll always bleed burnt orange…)
  3. She's a Starbucks fan. And more importantly, a self admitted "blog friend" and fan of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy – hey, the woman has taste!
  4. Normally those things alone would be sufficient to qualify as a great beginning. But of course what truly matters most in a blog is opinion, the ability to express that opinion, and quality writing. And the Austin Realtor's Wife does all three of these very well.

Today marks the one week aniversary of this blog, and there are already eight good posts. I think it is here to stay. Different perspective, great writing and fabulous location. What more could you ask for?

So get on over there!

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy runs on AgentPress

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

It's a promising site.

Viva Starbucks! This blog should be a winner.

Well, she's certainly making rapid headway on the learning curve. Only a week into it and she's already bagging on her collegues:

http://realtorwives.blogspot.com/2007/04/no-one-a...

She'll be a popular guest author in no time at this rate.

Actually, my real estate tech consulting business DOES take PayPal! The invoice is in the mail... :)

Seriously, you're doing great work, keep it up!!

So I must owe you some money now, huh? Do you take Paypal? :)

JK- thanks for the unsolicited "buzz"!!!
