Yawn. Yet ANOTHER new real estate blog has been born. Happens almost daily it seems. Like anything in life, they range from the good to the bad to the ugly. You're on your own to find the bad and ugly. Trust me, you won't have to look too far.
But when I find a good one, I like to share. And there's a real gem brewing in God's Country (that would be my adopted hometown of Austin, Texas).
The "Austin Realtor's Wife" has spooled up "Real Estate Wives (and Husbands)" a nice twist on the "I'm the greatest agent, use me or be stoopid" blog.
This blog has a couple of things going for it straight out of the chute:
- As already mentioned, it's based in Austin.
- The author is a graduate of THE University of Texas. (I attended UT, dropped out, and finally returned to St. Edward's University in Austin to complete my degree. But I'll always bleed burnt orange…)
- She's a Starbucks fan. And more importantly, a self admitted "blog friend" and fan of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy – hey, the woman has taste!
- Normally those things alone would be sufficient to qualify as a great beginning. But of course what truly matters most in a blog is opinion, the ability to express that opinion, and quality writing. And the Austin Realtor's Wife does all three of these very well.
Today marks the one week aniversary of this blog, and there are already eight good posts. I think it is here to stay. Different perspective, great writing and fabulous location. What more could you ask for?

I'm Jay Thompson, and I have a little blogging problem... Welcome to The Phoenix Real Estate Guy, or "TPREG" as I fondly refer to it.
