Sometimes, it is best not to read the news…

US Airways denies it skimps on fuel at risk of safety

This, 3 days before I board a plane. A US Airways plane, naturally.

At least they deny it….

Reminds me of the time I was a healthy young person going in for minor surgery. The night before the surgery, I was in the hospital reading Coma by Robin Cook. You know, the story about healthy young people that go in for minor surgery, and wind up brain dead and having their organs harvested.

My operating room number was even the same OR number where the shenanigans happened in Coma.

That kinda freaked me out.

Yeah, reading that book at that time was a real smart move. Reading airline safety news three days prior to a flight isn’t a whole lot smarter.

Sometimes I never learn.

Thank God I have so many memories and photos from our last trip. I even have one of you on the plane from Houston to NYC. I am going to miss you so much Jay! :)

JK! You’ll be fine Jay, ( take some benadryl before the flight just in case, that way you’ll just sleep through it.)

Jay,

If you ever go camping in Glacier National Park Or Yellowstone, read Night of the Grizzlies.

The statement “ignorance is bliss” is true. The more you learn about what kinds of bad things CAN happen, the more likely you are to worry about them!

Sometimes you gotta learn when to turn a blind eye to things, or fear of what might be will paralyze you!
