Custom sites are not exempt from this either. A stagnant, never changing site–custom or not–will eventually suffer in the search engines.

Try Austin real estate without quotes - my P2A site is #6. Try Lakeway homes and I'm #3. Try Lake Travis real estate and I'm #6. Try Austin Keller Williams and I'm #4. Do it right and you can do well with a template site if the provider is good.

Kelly -

The fastest way to get your web site indexed by Google (and others) is to have a site that's already indexed (and preferably frequently crawled by the search engines) link back to your site. The when the search engine spiders crawl THAT site, they will find the link to YOUR site and crawl it.

Some people say that Google has a "sandbox" where they hold new sites for some time period before they place them into their index. I've seen evidence both for and against the sandbox.

But getting links to your site from good relevant web sites is the best way to get indexed as quickly as possible, sandbox or not.

What's your URL? I'd like to see what real-estate-designers can do!

Good luck!

I had www.real-estate-designers.com design my website. They submitted by website to search engines and even optimized it for no charge. I was told that it takes months to be listed and ranked on Google etc. Is there any way to speed the process?

I'll see your one site and raise you to five.

Try "Phoenix Real Estate" on Google. Both the #1 and #3 sites are Advanced Access sites.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=phoenix+real+estate&btnG=Google+Search

"San Diego Real Estate" - #5
"Los Angeles Real Estate" - #3
"Dallas Real Estate" - #4

Any questions?

Show me one template site in a major market that ranks on the first page of Google for "your city real estate".
