What was the best thing about being at Inman’s Real Estate Connect NYC 08?

Meeting people. People I’ve “known” for awhile through on-line acquaintance, people I’ve heard of and people I hadn’t. Agents, Brokers CEO’s, Directors, VP’s, Founders, A-list professional bloggers, reporters and more.

It’s all about networking…

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy runs on AgentPress

AgentPress is a specialized WordPress theme for real estate agents and brokers, powered by the industry standard Genesis Framework. With AgentPress on your team, you're empowered to get the most out of WordPress for online marketing.

Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that powers any successful website. And AgentPress provides the specific listing and lead-generation functionality real estate pros need to succeed.

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

You just reminded me of a stack of cards I have on my desk, which serve no purpose right now but to take up space. I'll go through them and see if can find any lucrative connections.

That's a lot of business cards. It's always important to take a business card. It helps ya remember a person's name and its a reminder to give that person a call and maybe you can make some money together.

I hope I get to meet & connect with you all next time. I wanted to make it to SF but just couldn't swing it : (

It is always a great joy and pleasure to spend time with you Jay. You are the flower growing in the desert filled with prickly cacti :)

Hi Faina! Yep, you're in there... I think your card is in the top right corner under the mostly black one

you said it jay! it's about connecting with people.

stay well!

It was fabulous to see old friends and meet new ones. Thanks to all for stopping by! Don't be strangers!!

Good post. The best part of being a Mike Ferry Agent was the fact that they all got together and networked. Were all working together to do something with similar experiences.

It was good seeing you again.

Seeing my card on that table reminds me of how cool yours was with nothing else, but simply your blog address. See you in SF!

Great to meet you at INMAN. Thanks for the blogging tips and tricks. I look forward to staying in touch. I see my business card in the photo - very cool. It's the one with the tortoises. Best Regards.

I couldn't agree more!  It was my pleasure meeting you again.  Fine job on the panel by the way.

Nice writing style. Looking forward to reading more from you

I completely agree having come up from New Zealand to attend I consider the time and cost well worthwhile.

These conferences (this is my second) are the best in the industry. They are well resources with excellent panelists (yourself included), excellent topics and a lack of fluff - you go there to meet people, see the latest trends and to get a quick recharge of the batteries - bring on SF in August!

Also one other highlight for me was discovering so many competent bloggers - I am still a newby on our site (3 months) but the lessons to be learnt are enormous. One enlightment was Rachel Natalie Klein and here awesome videoblog - www.intothebox.tv - I have always been skeptical of videoblogging until I saw this.
