The Epicenter of Real Estate Blogging Expands

Normally before I proclaim that a new blog has entered the Phoenix real estate blogiverse, I wait a little while after its birthing — just to make sure it's going to stick around for awhile.

However, Heather Barr at the shiny new North Phoenix Agent Blog clearly gets it.  I know, I know. There are only five posts. But the writing is crisp and opinions are clear. Anyone who writes this is going in my feed reader:

Now imagine another person. We’ll call him Mr. Down-On-His-Luck. Girls, you might also know him as bad boyBad Boy #17. He’s fun to date. Believe me, I’ve done it. But you wouldn’t want to lend him money. That’s because Mr. Luck  job hops. His idea of a savings account is checking under the sofa cushions. Tax returns? Yeah, he did some of those. Once. 10% down? It’d take years to save that much, and there’s a drink special at the local watering hole tonight, so he’ll start saving tomorrow. Mr. Luck is considered subprime, by mortgage lenders and wise women alike.

So welcome Heather, you've joined a great bunch of Phoenix area real estate bloggers! (I know I'm missing someone. SHOUT and I'll add you!)

You know the rule right? At the next blogger's gathering, new guy/chick buys the drinks!

And where the heck is Christoph? I'm getting a little worried about the boy…

About the Author
Jay Thompson

I'm a real estate broker in Phoenix, Arizona and the publisher of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog. I tend to drive too fast and scream at the University of Texas and Denver Broncos football teams. My two kids are smarter than most adults I know and my wife is simply amazing.

The Phoenix Real Estate Guy runs on AgentPress

AgentPress is a specialized WordPress theme for real estate agents and brokers, powered by the industry standard Genesis Framework. With AgentPress on your team, you're empowered to get the most out of WordPress for online marketing.

Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that powers any successful website. And AgentPress provides the specific listing and lead-generation functionality real estate pros need to succeed.

Comments

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Fixed it Steve. Sorry 'bout that.

There are more I'm missing, I'm sure. Once of the days I HAVE to better organize my feed reader....

LOL!!!! That was great. I loved the last line.

Thanks for the acknowledgment!

BTW, writing's overrated. Grammar, punctuation, all overrated. Numbers and graphs... now that's art.

Thanks for using a pic from my latest photo shoot, big guy ...
