The Phoenix Real Estate Guy — #5 on Google

Pardon the intrusion while I toot my own horn, but I had to capture this before it goes away…

That is us, at #5 on Google for the search term "Phoenix Real Estate". That's a pretty competitive search term that returns 7,570,000 pages. We're ranked on page 1 of Google for dozens of terms, but this is the generally accepted "gold standard" for real estate search terms.

I've been preaching it to agents that will listen — Blogs are powerful tools…

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Thanks to all for the congratulatoryisms. (I just made that word up. Let's see if we can get to #1 in Google for it... :) )

Joe - in all fairness to Greg, the intent, purpose and scope of BloodhoundBlog isn't the same as this blog. We target different audiences and/or have goals. TPREG will always rank higher than BHB for local search terms, and BHB will always rank higher for national and "re.net" like search terms. We're two different beasts.

Jay, you ARE the Phoenix Real Estate Guy. Congratulations on leading the Arizona pack. You're miles ahead of Greg. Now, that's something to howl about :)

My SEO hat is off to you.

Jay, How DARE you toot your own horn! :-) Congratulations, sir.

There is nothing wrong with tooting your own horn every once in a while!

Jay, the #5 Rank on Google for "Phoenix Real Estate" is phenomenal. I bet you paid a whole lot less than Jim Messenger...isn't it amazing what blogging can do?

I have not analysed my own rankings into the detail yet, however in the short time since my blog is up and running (Jan 17th 2007), I am getting some good hits from the "long tail". Using "Phoenix Metropolitan Real Estate" I am number 3 thanks to blogcatalog.com.

By the way, thanks again for helping me to put my blog on the map of the "blogiverse".

Very, very impressive! Funny, you actually rank higher in my own market than I do on Google. You're everywhere! Links are an odd thing. I'll figure this algorythem stuff out eventually. Though, I've hit #4 on MSN. Do they count anymore?

Oh, and I understand Greg hits #4 for Redfin.com as well!

Congrats to both of you.

That is so cool. What it shows is consistent hard work, solid content, and the public's perception that you really do know what you're doing.

Keep up the great work.

Well, I don't have a Realtor website (since I'm not a Realtor and all), but as Athol has pointed out, I come up on Pg 1 for Hot Austin Wives and #1 on Google for Hot Realtor Wives, all thanks to an article about why the Austin market is hot... I'm still working on getting better ranking for more substantial searches.

So CONGRATS on your success!! If I were in Phoenix I would hate you :) But I'm not so I like you, YAY!

AWESOME!!!!

I'm still stuck on page 3 for "real estate technology"

It took a lot of work to get to page 3 and its going to take more to get to page 1

I was on page 2 (about number 15) for a week then i dropped back to page 3. I'm sometimes #1 on page 3 but usually 3 or four down (which equals about #24)

Keep it coming

can't wait to see you at number #1

Loren

I bounce all over from Page 1 to Page 2...of course my search term only has about 250,000 results.

Great job on making it that far for such a hotly contested term. Blogs are a powerful thing indeed.
