I have encouraged a number of my 40-something friends to put their info on LinkedIn or FB.

One hold out waited until he went to a job fair to learn that, if you aren't on LinkedIn then you are s-out-of-luck!

I've read somewhere that top 100 list companies have their accounts at tweeter – so you are absolutely right, social meria is REALLY important nowadays
