The Votes Are in! (and more are needed…)

BlogBrawlLogoThanks to all who voted for the Phoenix Real Estate Guy in the VAR Real Estate Blog Brawl!

Your votes helped propel us to victory against the powerhouse (and fabulous) Rain City Guide Blog.

We’re in the Sweet 16!

But I still need your help in the next round…

The Brawl is hosted by the Virginia Association of Realtors, and in the next round we’re up against a great Virginia based blog — VARealEstateTalk.com run by Cindy Jones.

They have the home court advantage!

For what it’s worth, I’m sort of a Virginia blog…

Huh?

Well, I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. That makes me a native of the Great Commonwealth of Virginia….

OK, so that’s a stretch. Just vote your conscious. And remember, virtual cocktails and boundless karma to all who vote Phoenix Real Estate Guy!

Vote early, vote often (from different computers).

UPDATE: Well, looks like the home court advantage was too much to overcome. We lost in the Sweet 16 round (as did every other #1 seed!!).  It was a nice run while it lasted — there is always next year!  Congrats to Cindy for taking me out, you’ve got my votes through your championship run! You can vote in the Elite Eight round here.

It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Way to go Jay! You can count on us.

I just voted for you J. Good luck.

Hey Jay, I'll go vote for you! :)

Jay - You big stud...how and the heck did you knock off RainCityGuide? That's one big tree you knocked down in my neck of the woods here in the Pacific Northwest. Well congrats...I hope more victory's are I coming your way. Who knows...maybe they'll list you in the blog section of the brand new Real Estate Wiki.

Jay-No I was actually born in DC and my parents brought me across the border to VA when I was 9 mos old. Spent from 84-90 in Phoenix. I'm impressed that I made it this far against so many great blogs. Kudos to everyone in this round.

Cindy - were you born here? ;) I lived in Cville for all of six months. Of course I remember nothing as I was a mere larva. I did go back through as a teen on the way to visit DC -- beautiful country. So technically I am a native Virginian. Hey, a guy has to do what has to be done.... Good luck, and if I go down in flames, at least it's to a good blog!

Sevierville - My opponent for this round is listed in the post... Cindy's VARealEstateTalk.

Howard - How did I beat RCG? With style and grace? Loyal and dedicated readers? I suspect it's more like RCG didn't know they were even in it, and/or didn't shamelessly grovel for votes like I did....

Dustin - I'm humbled to have "defeated" a blog like RCG. And YOU are da man my friend!

Jay congratulations on your victories so far. I'll head over there right now and give you a thumbs up. I'll ask my partners to do the same - good luck.

Jay, congrats. Rain City is a tough competitor. Good luck in the next round. Any idea who you will be going up against?

Okay since I lived in Phoenx for 6 years can I call myself a native of AZ? Jay this is a VA blog fest but we welcome all great blogs with open arms. I'll have to rally the troups to take on such a great "competitor."

Pandering, groveling, pleading, maybe even begging.

Yep. I have no shame and a wicked competitive streak that really makes me want to win this thing!

Would love to go head-to-head with you in the Final Four Jim!

They call this pandering, which I duly respect. From a current resident of Charlottesville, native Virginian and possible future competitor.
