The What Would You Do? Game

There are several variations out there of a “What Would You Do? game.

Typically they involve moral or ethical dilemmas. You know, “You find $10,000 cash in a bag. What would you do?” or, “You back into a car. No one sees you. What would you do?”

I had a real life What What Would You Do situation today….

“You are in a public restroom. Your right arm is broken. You can’t get your pants snapped. What do you do?”

On a more serious note (though at the time, the above was quite serious) here is a real estate related “What Would You Do” we’ve recently run across:

You list your home as a short sale, hoping to avoid foreclosure.

Do you:

a) Gut the home of every appliance, justifying it as “getting something for your money”.

b) Leave the home in the same condition you would like to find it if you were buying it.

c) Walk away, leaving the home intact, but filthy.

We’ve seen all three responses in the last two weeks. Do I really need to tell you which response is best for getting your home sold? (Not to mention just the plain old right thing to do.)

.

I have seen this in foreclosures. But I dont understand what people are thinking during preforeclosures. Although the seller might walk away with nothing either way personally I would not want to have a foreclosure on my record.

That reminds me a few homes I have seen. How about this one:
