Thompson’s Realty Announces Merger with eXp Realty

.

We are (truly) thrilled to announce that we have signed a Memo of Understanding, effective today, to merge the Thompson’s Realty brokerage operations with eXp Realty.

Why eXp Realty?

I have had the pleasure of knowing the CEO of eXp Realty, Glenn Sanford, for a couple of years. Glenn is a remarkably astute businessman, and more importantly, he is a world-class human being. eXp, which operates in 26 states, is known as a “National Cloud-Based Real Estate Brokerage”.

Simply put, eXp gets technology. They also get what real estate agents need to be successful. They offer their agents tools, processes and applications that Thompson’s Realty can not. They offer the stability of a national brokerage. Their philosophy for agents and clients alike mimics our own.

One of the major benefits of making a move to eXp Realty is the ability maintain leadership with our team and our brand in the Phoenix Metro area.  eXp Realty provides excellent transaction workflow while providing a platform for agents and teams to grow their businesses and their respective brands.

A very wise man by the name of Aristotle once said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” The whole that is eXp Realty, and all they have to offer, is greater than what the individual agents and brokers within eXp can provide.

That’s synergy.

We want to be a part of that synergy. We want to add to the whole. Francy and I are completely convinced that the vision — and the capability to execute that vision — that eXp Realty provides will lead to bigger and better things for our agents, and our clients.

It will take a few weeks for the transition to be complete. In the meantime, we will continue to deliver superior service to our clients and Glenn, Francy and I are committed to deliver superior service to all of our agents – current and future.

It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Jay, did part of the negotiation involve exp discontinuing its use of your competitor, Trulia?  I'm not a big fan of Zillow's poor analysis, but it is far better than Trulia, which is showing our market as just coming off of $956/foot months.  I really question whether it is even ethical for exp to post these graphs. http://exprealty.com/az/trends/

Congratulations Jay, and best of luck in the transition.  I hope it works out well for you and your agents.  I'm not familiar with eXp, but will keep an eye on your progress.  Take care.

Good move for you and Francy. As for the agents who were just sold to a brokerage they didn't join ... time will tell. Been there once before and it wasn't all that much fun.

JonathanDalton Thanks JD. We're remarkably well-aligned with eXp, in our opinion, and we'll certainly do everything we can to help our current agents.
