Many have seen the recent "Leave Realtors Alone!" video over the last few days. It was posted on many real estate blogs, including The Phoenix Real Estate Guy. (See ReAlToR HuMoR)
Sadly, the young "star" of the video, Aaron Anglin, was killed in an automobile accident yesterday. Aaron was 24 years old and leaves behind a wife and two very young daughters.
Aaron is the brother of Lani Anglin, who many know through her contributions on Bloodhound blog, and her own blog — r.e Revealed. I didn't know Aaron, but Lani is a true cyber-friend of mine. She and her husband Benn have made great contributions to the RE.net.
There is a post about Aaron on Lani's blog.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Anglin family, and all that Aaron touched. Some of us are working on a way to help financially, more will be forthcoming.
Update #1: Greg Swann has a way to help quickly. April Groves, a dear friend of Lani's posts here. I am going to try to ammend the PayPal donation link for Karen George (see the top right corner of this blog) to allow for donations to either Karen or to Aaron's family.
Update #2: The donation button is on this blog (top right corner under the big green ribbon), and beginning to show up on others across the RE.net. If you'd like the donation button code, you can get it here. Thanks to those that have *already* donated!!

Just this morning I discovered the video and shared it with my colleagues. Then tonight I find out the tragic news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I also just watched the video this morning and had a great laugh. Life works in mysterious ways. My prayers are with Anglin family.

Jay, I’ve said it before, but I can’t say it enough- you have led this cause in such an amazing way and I don’t even know how to thank you or repay you. You guys better come visit soon- I want to give you a big ol’ Texas hug! My brother deserves every ounce of love that you are showing him, and I still don’t have a word big enough to describe my gratitude. God bless you, Jay (and Francy).
