We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

I too was named as defendant in a malicous lawsuit from buyer that claims they paid too much for property. So far I have spent 10k in defense. I am inspired to provide Pre-Paid Legal for everyone as our Legal system is in breakdown. Justice for All that can Afford! Only $26 per month for your own atty. on retainer. Save $$$

I guess it is a good thing we haven't seen huge reductions in prices in my area. Some people have lost some money (a few percent), nothing like many parts of the country. Should help reduce the risk of this type of lawsuit happening in the Chicagoland area.

If they win this could be a mess and open up a wave of lawsuits. Not that prices have gone down I could see a lot of people filing suits saying they bought for too much even if at the time the selling price was market value. Also 2 years later it will be difficult to prove one way or another.

There is an April 3rd article in the nctimes.com regarding this case.

I am outraged that a judge would waste taxpayers money on this case.

The Ummels should be responsible for their own home buying decision. They were not forced to buy this home. They are educated people and should have known what they were spending their money on. Why blame some one else for buyer's remorse. Take responsibility for their own actions rather than blame someone else for what they now view as a mistake.

I hope the Ummels are ripped apart in this case. Unfortunately, the jury may be sympathetic due to all of the real estate news lately.

I remember you writing about this - thanks for the update. The link is broken so I'll just wait to hear about it from you!

Mac what is the case number and please link to some articles about your lawsuit. Lawsuits like this get a lot of press and I am sure we all would love to see the outcome.

People need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop looking to blame others.

Huh, not sure how that happened, but the link is fixed.
