SEVRAR Technology Conference

Block out your calendars for January 27, 2009 for the Southeast Valley Regional Association of Realtors (SEVRAR) Technology Conference. The theme of the conference is “Growing Profits Through Technology” — I like profits, and I like technology. I’ll be speaking on “Blogging — Taking it to the Next Level” as well as manning an “experts table” where people will be able to come in and talk to experts a few on one and ask specific questions and interact with the experts. (Expert? Well, I can fake it pretty well…)

More info to follow.

NAR AE LogoNational Association of Realtors Association Executives Institute

Yes, the NAR has actually asked me to speak to Association Executives. Scary isn’t it? They need not fear, I’ll be nice. Actually, I am really excited about this conference. I’ll be on a panel whose topic is, “Applied Social Media Trends”. It will be moderated by the amazing Jeff Turner of Real Estate Shows and I’ll be joined by two of my fellow AgentGenius contributors Benn Rosales and Mariana Wagner.

When: March 20 – March 24, 2009 (our panel is Monday, 3/23 at 8:30am)

Where:
The Broadmor
1 Lake Avenue
Colorado Springs, CO 80906

More info to follow.

Rebw5RE Blog World

It is with much sadness and regret that prior commitments are going to keep me from attending Real Estate Blog World and Blog World in Las Vegas this weekend. This is going to be a *great* event and I want to see pictures and hear all about it from my friends that are attending.

There’s still time to make it… more info is available at the RE Blog World site and blog.

NY_09_headerSMInman News Real Estate ConnectNYC 2009

This, along with Inman Blogger Connect (and maybe an RE Bar Camp?) will be one of the premier events. I fully intend to grovel and suck up to Joel and Daniel and see if I can’t squeeze out one more speaker invite. Anyone need a car washed?

When: January 7 – 9, 2009

Where:
Marriott Marquis Times Square
New York, NY

It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Congrats on the NAR gig!

It would be wonderful if Lake Powell was closer to Phoenix (well maybe not) but would love to hear your "building links" talk. I am still the only blogger type up here ~ trying to be inventive.

Jay - There is no doubt why our Az Real Estate Blogging Network has you as our keynote speaker/instructor... I'm looking so forward to next week's meeting and feel confident that I will be able to sit and take all this workshop in this time.

As for the other local events, I am marking up my PDA now! Congrats on the NAR speaking venue!

Jay: thanks for the shout-out! The NAHREP Conference should be great (and hey, it's your home turf so I bet that makes it better hmm?). I'm not going to make it out to REBlogworld this week but have a great time and I'll see you at the end of the month.

Jay, let us know how things go at the SEVRAR tech conference. I'm curious how you feel reception to blogging has improved. It seems that most agents are either scratching their heads or putting up their first blog with no idea as to how good content magically appears. Hopefully they're up for some helpful suggestions.

Congratulations on being invited by NAR to speak Jay!

Now that's a "feather in your cap" for sure!

Jay, we are excited to have you at the NAHREP convention in Phoenix. I heard you speak at Inman and think your insight and knowledge is valuable to our member base. The three of you make an all star line up. As moderator NAHREP wants me to have a short call (to give you the low-down) with you guys before the conference. I will send out an email with a few proposed times. CYA soon!

SEVRAR Technology Conference-check the date on this one-Jan 2008? I will be at all the local events, and sorry I am missing the Vegas shindig :( Sure would like to go to NYC :)

Jay, I couldn't be happier for you. Not only should you speak, we should listen. But, when you are at the NAR, please tell them to STOP "helping" me. I can't afford their "help". I'll continue to pay the dues so they can enjoy a free ride on my toil, but enough is enough. Tell them to shut up.

Whoops. SEVRAR date corrected. Thanks!

Connect is very very cool. Blog World would be too.

I really like your approach. Embracing technology and applying it to your line of business is one thing, but standing up, and sharing your knowledge is the mark of true greatness. How did the rest of 2009 pan out with these type of engagements, and what is your schedule for 2010 looking like?

Many great events taking place. thanks for the information. I will be doing more research on the upcoming events.
