Baby Mackenzie is out of the hospital and back at home with her Mom. She is banged up, bruised and swollen, but her mom holds her, feeds her, and is with her. This is fabulous news!
Aaron’s obituary has been posted at the Austin American Statesman site. Please take a moment to stop by and leave a comment on the guest book. I’m sure friends and family will appreciate your thoughts.
Funeral services are tomorrow. I wish I could be there in person, but I’ll certainly be there in spirit.
Lani and Benn are both overwhelmed with the gratitude and support that’s been shown. Aleshia, Eleanor and Mackenzie have a very long, difficult road ahead of them. The ribbon and donation button will remain on this blog’s sidebar until there is no longer a need. Please consider donating anything you can.
Or, if you prefer, a trust fund has been set up for the children:
Guaranty Bank, Acct# 3805908914
Checks payable to James Johnson (grandfather)

Thanks for setting up that guest book, Jay. Lani is blessed to have you as her friend.
I can’t take much credit for the guest book. Legacy.com sets them up for 30 days. I just “sponsored” it so it will stay on-line for a year.
“Lani is blessed to have you as her friend.”
Right back at you.
I’m so glad to here that baby MacKenzie is going to be OK. Thanks for keeping us up on what’s going on with those poor folks.
Thank you, Jay, for all you have done. You are a good man.
I don’t know who “The Role of a Realtor” from realestateinwoodstock is, but I recommend you consider spam-deleting this comment just moments before you hog-tie him and stuff him in someone’s trunk.
I stumbled upon your site, which reminded me, that the world is still full of good people!
