VendAsta Drops a Little Hint: Social Network Leverage

.

From the moment seven executives left Point2 Agent, speculation has been rife about what they may be up to.

We know they have started a company called VendAsta, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada.

Today Brendan King and Jeff Tomlin posted a video that dropped the biggest hint to date:

Vendasta is a consulting company … what we intend to do is help real estate professionals leverage existing social networks to connect with their customers and consumers, further upstream, long before they are even ready to buy a home.

Hmmm… they aren’t coming up with a new social network (thank goodness), rather they are doing something to leverage existing social networks.

Social networks abound. The bottom line truth is, not many people (any people?) really know how to leverage social networks in the real estate space.

In another bit of Vendasta news, it looks like Guy Kelsey is about to become the EVP of Product Development at VendAsta. Guy comes out of the heavy equipment side of Point2 Technologies.

This could be interesting. Stay tuned…

It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

I realize Web2.0 is about "connecting" with the user, but sometimes...some things are better left "un-videotaped".

Then again, if they're lucky, someone will forward this little gem to Housevalues. Someone over there is sure to dip into the investment kitty for at least a few million.

Hey Jay, have you leveraged your leverage today at the leverage store over on leverage street? Did you tell your leverage about the leverage to the leverage of the leverage?

Leverage,

Lani

PS: the video didn't make any sort of plan clear, but I absolutely loved the video- silly and disarming is always good in my book. I look forward to your future coverage of their progress.
