PhoenixMagazineMay2008If you’ve stumbled across The Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog from this months edition of Phoenix Magazine, welcome! We are glad you are here.

Feel free to poke around. You can search the Phoenix MLS, explore the archives or just wander about. You can use the search bar off to the right, or browse the various categories listed in the lower right column to find previous articles.

You’ll find a little bit of everything here. Phoenix area real estate statistics, mortgage rate info and analysis, some great local Phoenix web sites and restaurants and the occasional completely off-topic musing.

If you live in the Phoenix area and are interested in real estate, the May 2008 edition of Phoenix Magazine is worth $4 bucks. It’s the annual “Real Estate Edition” and has loads of interesting stuff like:

Best Places to Live
Whether you’re single and looking or your family is growing like a weed, here are 20 Valley neighborhoods where you should drop your welcome mat.

Perspectives of a Crisis

Learn how the mortgage crisis is affecting everyone, from families facing foreclosure to heavyweight homebuilders.

Homebuying How-To

It’s a buyer’s market for sure, but if you’ve never made the plunge into home ownership, our guide can help.

Downtown Living

From where to live, shop and play to how you’ll spend your day, here’s what your life Downtown could look like.

Historic ‘Hoods of the Future

Ever wonder which neighborhoods will become the next Willos or Encantos? Here are some nooks of the Valley that just might stand the test of time.

Just do me a favor and blow past the photo on page 123. I told them to use Photoshop liberally and make me look like George Clooney. Now we know for a fact that Phoenix Magazine doesn’t re-touch their photos…

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Teri - It was a pleasure meeting you! This issue of Phoenix Magazine is really good (and CERTAINLY not because I'm in it). It's loaded with good info on all things real estate.

I've seen it at Barnes & Nobles, Borders, Walgreens and some (but not all) grocery stores.

Hi Jay, enjoyed meeting with you today. Definitely want to pick up that Phoenix Magazine, and can't wait to read your article.

I picked it up at Target.
