Today is the two year "blogiversary" of the Phoenix Real Estate Guy weblog. Real estate blog years are similar to "dog years". Being two puts us well into adolescence, and maybe even early adulthood. Granted, for the first six months there wasn't a whole lot happening around here. A couple of posts a month, near constant changes to the look and feel of the blog — and a WHOLE lot of learning to be done.

I'd like to thank everyone that helped TPREG to grow and develop, but the list would be lengthy, and invariably I would miss someone. If you are in my blogroll or my feed reader, then you helped in one way or another — and I sincerely appreciate all the knowledge, inspiration and friendships that have developed over the past two years.  If you aren't in any of those lists but are "only" an occasional reader, then you too are vitally important to the past, present and future of our little spot in the blogiverse. Hopefully I've been able to return at least a little bit of what I've gained from all of you.

Thanks for everything!

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Have a Shiner and bask in the glory that IS your blog milestone!
  • Happy 2 year "blogiversary!" Have you heard of the new reality show Bought & Sold on HGTV? You guys should check it out: http://web.hgtv.com/webhgtv/images/pac/59889/st.... It’s a great show about the inner workings of the real estate and the lengths brokers will go to just to get the deal. I work with HGTV, and you won’t believe what happens this season. The show airs Sundays at 10pm. Good luck, and enjoy the show!
  • Congratulations, Jay. A great weblog, and two years is a long, long time in blogworld.
  • Congrats, Jay. Blogging reminds me of dog years: What was that, seven years to a human year, or something like that? Except, it's also hard work. Best wishes for your continued success.
  • Big Blogging Jay!

    Happy Anniversary!!

At two years... you're an old fart in the blogging world!!

  • Happy two years old.

And boy am I getting sick of that HGTV show spam everywhere.
  • Congratulations and Happy Birthday. Two years makes you an old-timer :)

But you are THE Phoenix Real Estate Guy, the coolest blogger in the desert.

    Many more, my friend.
  • May 8th will always be a special day! Congrats on making it to two, Jay. Keep on bloggin'!

And I did not realize the HGTV people had moved into comments. I thought they were just sending me emails...
  • I hate to be late to the party, but congratulations on your milestone! The number of real estate bloggers with this longevity is mighty short.

    Well done.
  • Thanks everyone! It's been quite the experience, with many more to come.

BTW, the lovely Maureen Francis and The Phoenix RE Guy blog share the same birthday! (Though not the same birth year. She's young and hip, much like TPREG, but she's not 2)
  • Hey Jay, Happy Belated Blogiversary! In the Bloggerverse 2 years is a long time...congrats!
  • Happy Blogiversary!
  • You are so far ahead of everybody. In age and understanding. Happy Birthday Phx Real Estate Guy!
  • Happy Blogiversary Phoenix Guy. Jim Cronin from The Real Estate Tomato speaks highly of you. At his advise I added you to my Blog Roll. I've read a few and like what you have to sey. If you make it to Tucson, bring your golf clubs. We'll take a break for 18.
  • I'm sorry I missed this as I was in Disneyland celebrating your accomplishment.

Here's to many more such blog birthdays for you. Continue the great work.
  • No problem Todd, and thanks. While you were hanging with Mickey and Goofy, I was driving through your neck of the woods. Got pulled over about 4 miles north of Kingman by a very nice (seriously) Mohave County Sherrif Deputy who could have cited me for criminal speeding, but gave me a break and cut it down to 85 in a 65 -- thereby allowing me to have the pleasure of attending traffic school one more time...
  • I am just getting started in blogging, and by this time there is a lot of help out there. I cannot imagine what you went through 2 years ago ... and since with the mind-boggling changes. You have done very well, Mr. Thompson, very well indeed. Many more "Happy Blogiversaries" to you.
  • Enjoyed your class in Lake Havasu City this week -- you offered some interesting, helpful and encouraging insights to the ''Electronic Media" journey. I look forward to following your posts. And "Happy Blogiversary" ...
