Weston Ranch Now Open – Gilbert, Arizona

Amberwood Homes has just opened Weston Ranch. Sporting large (for Gilbert real estate) 3/4 – 1+ acre lots, this community looks to be a winner. Weston Ranch is a custom home, gated community of 120 acres with only 96 lots ranging in size from 32,000 to 55,000 square feet. (One acre = 43,560 square feet).

The community is located at the corner of Higley and Queen Creek road. (Not exactly in the "Heart of Gilbert, Arizona" as Amberwood's literature proclaims. This is south Gilbert by any reasonable persons standards.)

Several spec homes are currently available, as is a wide selection of lots. 3/4 acre lots start at $375K (welcome to Gilbert real estate land prices…)

Amberwood builds a great home, and they have some very nice floor plans and elevations to chose from. Weston Ranch is restricted to single story homes, and many have basements (not typical around here), casitas and pool houses (more typical in higher end homes). In addition to spec homes and plans, Amberwood also builds custom homes to your plans or helps you plan the home of your dreams.

Here is the plat map for Weston Estates (as of March 8 — no promises as to actual availability of any particular lot).

Sounds like a nice community. I wouldn’t mind having 3/4 acre+ of land for my home. I could have a really ridiculous pool and patio.

I wonder what these homes are going for now, after the big crash… I would imagine much less, especially considering how Arizona’s values have dropped so much in the past year.

I like the fact that some of the houses have basements. The floor plans look nice too.
