Why Do You Read Real Estate Blogs?

by Jay - The Phoenix Real Estate Guy on March 20, 2007

The “OC Register” put up a poll on its blog last Friday asking the question, “Why Would You Read a Housing Blog?”

Interesting question. Here are the current results:

I don’t know what this really means, if anything. But it’s interesting, and more importantly it did motivate me to get off my duff and find a good poll plug-in for WordPress. I like to play around with plug-ins, and I’ve always thought polls might be an interesting thing to have on the blog (though some polls can be rather annoying).

So I’ve installed the “Democracy” plug-in, let’s give it a whirl…

So how about humoring me and voting? Not really so I can gather anything as to why people read this blog. I need votes so I can tweak how the results are displayed. (I had to do a little CSS work to get the options to display right, now I need results to work with.)

.

Jay, this plug-in is really cool. I wished I would have known about it before i posted my “Blog Identity Crisis” entry on Active Rain. Thanks for sharing!

The plug-in has a really clean stylish look to it.

I agree, it looks very nice. Can you change the results to display the percentage and when you “hover” it displays the actual number?(opposite of how it is now).

529 unique visitors since this poll was posted and 25 of ya voted!

Oh well, that’s a better voter turnout than in some local level elections….

It’s a very slick plug-in. Setting up the polls is a snap. And Jon, I believe you can tweak the % vs. Actual display. Just have to find the right place in the style sheet to do that. I like that idea.
