Real Estate Connect SF 2009

OK real estate types, here is your chance to win a FREE all-conference pass to Inman Real Estate Connect 2009 in San Francisco.

Last night I won two free passes to Connect SF in a contest on Twitter. I’m already registered to attend, so I thought I’d give them away here on Phoenix Real Estate Guy – much like I did for Real Estate Connect New York City back in January.

Here’s the rules:

1) Leave a comment below. It doesn’t have to be all deep and profound. Sucking up won’t help (though personally I have no problem with it). Leave a real email address in the comment form so I can notify you if you win!

2) Two comments will be chosen at random, and each of those will win a free admission pass to Inman Connect SF held Aug 5 – 7, 2009 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

3) ONE entry per person. You’re welcome to comment all you like, but only your first comment will be entered in the drawing.

4) If you win and can’t use it, you’re welcome to GIVE the pass to anyone you like, however you see fit. GIVE folks. I’m giving them away, so be cool and don’t put these things up on eBay. Let’s all pay it forward here.

5) This is important! If you have already registered, you CAN NOT get a refund if you win. Sorry those are Inman’s rules. BUT, if you’ve already registered and you win here, you can apply the pass to next years Connect SF. Personally, I hope someone who wants to go this year but needs a pass ends up winning. And next year I may be kicking myself for not saving one of these…

6) The winners also get to make the ultimate fashion statement at Connect. Each winner gets a free Phoenix Real Estate Guy t-shirt (like this) and you HAVE to wear it for one day at Connect. Trust me, crowds will flock to you clamoring for a glimpse of this amazing shirt.

7) Unless someone steps up to the plate (hey, it happened last year! Contact me if you want to sponsor some travel!) you are on your own for travel, lodging and expenses. This is only an admission pass (current price of a pass is $939. But see below for a smoking discount…).

8 ) If you know you can’t attend, please don’t enter.

9) Winners have to buy me a drink at some after-party. Trust me, there will be ample opportunity.

10) Entries will close on Tuesday, July 7 at 8:00pm Pacific Time. The winners will be drawn and announced after that, as quickly as I can video and upload the drawing results.

Real Estate Bar Camp San Francisco II is on August 4!

If you win, or are planning to attend Connect SF, you’d be insane not go a day early and catch the RE Bar Camp. The whole “REBC movement” started right in San Francisco last year. It is well worth attending.

Smoking hot discount if you don’t win:

You can still get a 50+% discount on registration through Phoenix Real Estate Guy. Go to this page, and enter the code PhoenixREGuy when prompted.  As far as I know, this is the last remaining registration discount. Inman is a great conference, but why pay full price? (full disclosure: this is an affiliate program. I get a small payment if you use this code. Believe me, it’s nowhere close to what you’ll save.)

So get with it and leave a comment already!

Hey Phoenix Real Estate Guy...I hear you're a cool dude! Would love to attend to watch good friends @cyberhomes & @nik_ nik present at Inman! P.S....I've got the inside scoop on their presentation ..pick me :)

Hell, Jay! I'll buy you a drink anyway. But a nice kicker to that would be to go to the conference ... gratis. And I could use me some PhxReGuy couture. :)

Jay,

I never win at any drawings so might as well give it a spin. Thanks for the opportunity to buy you a beer at the conference! See ya at Inman.

Jay how can I refuse a chance to win attending a conference which YOU recommend? Whatever it must be YOU JAY, PhxREGUY recommending must mean that it is worth its weight in gold..and at today's gold price wow! I gotta go.. and see what this is all about...and SF to boot!! Oh man!!! AND hold on HOLD ON>. I get a PHxREGuy T-shirt if I win??!?!? DAMN Xmas is coming early.. BTW Aug 7th is my bday.. in case that matters....ok I gotta go relax now...

wow how ironic that I just found your site for the first time about 20 minutes ago and I got in just in the nick of time before the door to the contest closes - and I'm goin to SF! Sign me up for a Large shirt unless they run small...looking forward to seeing what other nuggets and googies (other than the advise of course) are contained within the walls of this site!

Thanks for this very cool opp.

If I win, I may have to alter the t-shirt to accommodate my fashion sense.

See you then!

Jay-

Thanks for the opportunity to take a break from the Phoenix heat!

Better later than never? Whew! Last day to do it and here I am. Please count me in Jay.

While I may not be as attractive as the previous winner (January's Connect), I can say that when wearing the t-shirt (at Connect - for a time at least - as the winner - it's the least I could do - well, that and the cocktail you are insisting on), I am willing to wear a "mirdle" (a.k.a. man girdle) if you would not want my dough-boy abs to possibly bring shame and embarrassment to the Phoenix RE Guy brand!

Attending this conference should help boost my lagging Web 2.0 performance. The potential "connections" and event "functions" should provide some stimulus to my writing if not my personal stories, of course there may be the what happens at Inman stays at Inman rule, which as a first time attendee, I will surely learn and hopefully get to appreciate.

Yeah I want to go.

Thanks for being so generous and giving away the tickets instead of trying to sell them. It'd be great to go and learn, and share with my fellow Canadian agents. Plus I think I'd look awesome in your shirt.

I've got to go and explain the world of real estate from the Canadian side after many drinks with Jay! So as the saying goes "pick me"

Never been to Connect... I would love to check it out!

Thanks for the opportunity Jay - I'd love to go! (and judging from the comments, you'll be too drunk to notice whether I'm there or not.. maybe I'll help you *drink* some of what everyone's buying!) ;-)

Jay,
Thanks for the opportunity to win these tickets. I would also love to get the T-shirt and would wear it at the conference.

I was going to leave a really thought provoking comment but ever since reading that Brian Wilson wants his T-shirt tailored to a sleeveless half-shirt, I haven't quite been able to get my thoughts together. :)

Jay-Pick me! Pick me! Last October I had an LG flip phone and now I Twitter, FB, and Blackberry like a fool. Plus a little blogging on Trulia. I would love to go to Inman to take my game to the next level ! I am already delaying my trip return to stay for Rebar SF. Just couldn't fit the entry fee for Inman into my budget.

I am having my Best year ever in Real Estate and havin a blast making new friends that believe in sharing.

I will wear your shirt everyday maybe even to sleep in. haha

Pick me! Pick me!

The temps in San Fran are perfectly suited
for a PRE guy tee, my look won't be muted.

Cuz' Inman Connect is where I hope to be
meetin' and greetin' and doing it for free.

Hope to win, see you all at REBCSF'09

Jay, I'm doing this just for the T-Shirt. Just kidding, I'd love to attend Real Estate Connect SF (tough on a students budget) and network with the leaders of the industry. Thanks for the opportunity.

Brian Wilson should win for best comment, but if I were you I would "randomly" give these away to one or two of the many lovely ladies that have commented here. Nevertheless, count me in for your generous contest.

I am coincidentally in the SF area that week... go figure. I can take a ticket off your hands if you want :-)

Hope... to see you all there.

Thanks for the chance!

Jay,

What an awesome chance for a guy like me. My first Inman, my first REbarcamp, my first live interaction with so many people who I've been chatting with since becoming an agent, a chance to learn something new and be surrounded by like minded people, a trip to San Francisco (never a bad idea), a coveted t-shirt, and a chance to bend your ear over a drink or two (on my dime is fine by me - you like moonshine or Thunderbird?).

It sounds like a great idea to me. Even if I don't win, thanks for the opportunity and one of these days, free Inman or not, I'll still buy you that drink.

I'm already digging under couch cushions searching for change to buy you a drink! Last year was my first Inman conference and I can truly, honestly say it changed my life. If I win, I plan to share this with someone who I hope will appreciate the conference as much as myself.

Jay:

I'm just an hour or so away from SF and would love to attend Inman and ReBar on your ticket. It would be good to meet you and buy you a cool one (while I extract all the knowledge I can out of your brain). Hey, I'm just being honest.
Thanks again for a great gathering place on the net.

Jay - You are *da bomb* when it comes to this stuff. I'd love to have the chance to attend Inman and hear everything you amazing people have to say! - Toby

i am in rio de janeiro, brazil... can i still attend?

What goes around comes around for you Jay - I see *alot* of good things in your future....I'd be happy to buy you a drink (and we don't even have to go all the way to SF - although it will probably taste better) :)

Been building homes for 15 years and now I'm in the Real Estate business. Can use all the help I can get learning the ropes from the Masters such as yourself.

Hey --didn't REBCSF start two years ago?

Nope. July 22, 2008 was REBCSF #1. Hard to believe it's only been a year...

Here's a pic for you Kev.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/phoenixreguy/2695392...

I'm always game for winning free stuff. :)

I would go but unfortuntely driving to Phoenix would take me 10 hours. I don't feel like taking a plane...lol. So please dont pick me unless i get to switch the tickets for a car.

Hi Jay,

I hope your 4th rocked! I just wanted to drop by and tell you how, wonderful, talented, intelligent, dashing, well-spoken, svelte (How'm I doing on the sucking up thing so far? :-), kind, generous, thoughtful, successful, honest, loyal, brave, thrifty and true you are! And if I wasn't already happily married to my Wonderful Mel, and if Alton Brown wasn't already happily married to his wife, and if I wasn't in need of the hot tub sized Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha, and if it wasn't Sunday... I would be chasing you like Tom chased Jerry... or Wiley Coyote chased the Roadrunner (minus the murderous intent...) or Pepe Le Pew chased Girl Cat (minus the smell...) (How'm I doin' now... huh? Huh? How 'bout now?)

There, I've said it...

I also wanted to tell you that should I be fortunate enough to be chosen, since I was already a winner via the Inman Twitter contest, I would be GIVING my ticket to Mary Pope Handy who is not only smart, funny, kind and sweet, she also one of the very best and most valuable things blogging ever got men - a true, dear and most cherished friend.

Thank you for the opportunity to share the wealth. Since I don't drink myself, chosen or not, I will happily spot you for a drink when we meet (two if I win...hint... hint... BTW, how's my bribing going? :-).

Oh, and one more thing... You had me at "free T-Shirt!

Have a wonderful day and a very successful year - good things do come to good people!

Jay,

Thanks for the opportunity to enter your drawing for Inman Connect tickets, since I haven't registered yet this would be fantastic to win. Looking forward to the Rebarcamp the day before too.

Do we receive a t-shirt just for playing?

"Do we receive a t-shirt just for playing?"

I wish I could give one to everyone, but I think I'd go broke... If you really want one, you could buy one here.

What a very cool idea, Jay. I have never been to Inman before. Wanted to go, just never got there.

RE Bar Camp in Denver was great. Learned lots of things. I am looking forward to RE Bar Camp in SD for sure :)

SF is a beautiful place. Well worth spending and extra day or three, there's the Fisherman's Wharf, Cliff House, Sausalito, Angel Island...

Alisa in Denver

Jay - I would proudly wear a "Phoenix Real Estate Guy" tee-shirt and attend Inman in August compliments of you! Can I add some bling & rhinestones to jazz it up--It's a girl thing? Let me know so I can book my accomodations early!! Yeah!! Thanks Jay!

Hmm, I guess the tee-shirt (xxlarge please) is the prize and the Inman tickets are the bonus? [grins]

TPREG T-shirts? Really? I've never heard of such a thing! (Ahem.)

Thanks Jay. I'll buy you TWO drinks if I win.

Jay,

Great idea, who wouldn't jump at the chance to wear one of your TPREG shirts? I hope to see you in SF.

Jay~I WANT a T-Shirt!

And the free ticket would be pretty cool too! ; )

Hey Jay, I'd be happy to take a ticket off your hands...and free travel and lodging sounds great too if someone wants to offer! I've been wanting to attend Inman for quite some time now, just never had the opportunity or made it a priority. Oh yeah, no problem wearing the t-shirt either!

thanks for this chance .. and i'd like to try but i really wanna to go there
